Some more tidbits on SvR 2010.
UCMs are gone.
There are 50 Caws slots now. Don't know if this is just for the X-Box 360 and PS3.
Layers have been removed when making your CAW for a new points system. Items have been given a points value now with the max points you will be able to use stopping at 48.
You can go up to two years with the Story Designer.
The outside camera angles have been fixed.
The TLC and First Blood matches have gotten some tweaks.
The Diva limitations for the most part have been lifted. They can now compete in Tables, Steel Cage and Ladder matches.
The 3-D paint tool is much like the one from Day of Reckoning 2 or Fire Pro Wrestling.
There are now strong and weak strikes along with 4 strong grapples that can be changed on the fly. Instead of have to let and re grapple to use a different strong grapple.
Abilities are still in the game. If you can assign them let along the attributes for your CAWs is yet to be known.
Load times for everything is much faster now.
There is more but I just thought I'd brings these up. Especially the new points system they have created to replace layers when making your CAW. I just can't help but get a bad felling on this one. Because unless every item has a one point value. Meaning you have basically have 48 layers now. If not. I don't see this working out to well for people who like to get real intricate with our CAWs like I do.

Not to mention that the paint tool is PS3/360 only. Which, saves the admins here from a headache.

It's going to be a headache regardless. The PS2 version will mostly likely still use the points system for CAWs as well, but those people who do come up with their own graphics (Which I doubt will be many) will have to create a completely separate attire from their PS3/360 version...and we're going to have to make it from scratch regardless. As far as the points system in general, I'm not so apprehensive of it. I mean, I average 22-25 layers (Including the unchangeable ones) on most of my CAWs, being the normal looking ones who don't have elaborate attire designs or ink. The way I think the system might go is that designs & flags will most likely be the least points, Tattoos (Arm, Leg, Torso & Back) will be the next up on the list, the WWE logos will be next and of course created logos will cost the most points. Say a regular design costs 2 points. 10 layers will only cost you 20 points. Still got 18 left to use. I think it's interesting because it'll in essence FORCE people to get creative, which is something the CAW community, or at least the original contingent of it has lacked. The most complex design layouts I have are all layouts I've made for years, and all layouts that use simple designs combined to make on large one. Easily done with most like very little points needed.
The only thing I want to know is if you can customize your CAW stats and abilities out of the gate, or have to play through another god awful game mode to build them. Since I've heard no mention of career mode, and Create-A-Story seems tobe the spiritual successor to the GM Mode, I'm betting that you most likely will have that option. (Let's hope and pray.) Still...we can only guess for now until more concrete info is made available.

After doing some digging, unfortunately Career Mode is back. And it's purpose is the same as 2009, stat build RPG style. However, they've made it so that you can build caw stats in other game modes such as Exhibition, so you're not stuck having to use one caw per career mode. No word on if this is how you unlock abilities as well. It'd suck ass if it is. I can take having to spam exhibition mode to build up stats, but having to do the tedious crap to unlock abilities per caw would SERIOUSLY diminish my opinion of the game. Why they just don't let us assign our own stats and abilities is beyond me at this point.

I can see some ridiculous high risks moves coming from CAF in 2010, and I mean in both the good and bad way. I'm the happy panda that those totally unnecessary UCMs have finally been scrapped too. And 50 CAWS for the 360/PS3 is just awesome. I could do 30 guys and 20 girls on a single profile and be done for a while (I'm not making a whole lot of CAWS for 2010). If we can build abilities for CAWs in every mode as well, that will take a little sting out of that whole process.
What I'm amped the most about though is that they've finally lifted the ban on women wrestling only in singles, triple threat & battle royals. Won't even need gender hacks next season for the most part.

God we're going to see some disgusting looking top rope CAFs. As far as the caw mode points system, none of my caws have ever been design heavy. The most detailed on I have is Scott, and his tights only take up 6 layers total. (Two tights layered for the two toned effect and two designs on each side to make up the core layout.) I doubt there will be parts that cost above 5 points, because you'd only be able to use 8 of them. (5pts x 8 = 45) No way THQ is that dense. I think it'll be manageable. There's a mag scan I saw that shows what the caw mode looks like... img188.imageshack.us/img188/1997/img026s.jpgAt the bottom of the image, you'll see that the caw...while not the best looking you'll ever see made...has some details on him such as tats, gloves, elbow pads, a towel accessory, a head band, NEW KICK PADS!!! (WOO WOO WOO!) and Boxing trunks, while only using up 14 out of the 48 points. That still leaves a LOT of room left to add more stuff onto the caw. People are just fearing the worst because it's different then what they've had the last 11 years.

The paint tool looks like MS Paint. I'm sure it's going to take a bit to get used to it with the control sticks. Probably best to keep quick strokes as well to try to get the shapes that you want. I like that it didn't change the point values at all for trying to place that Ziggler logo too...
and that community thing? I guess the only reason to have any show-off boards or formulas posted are to show off to those that are using the wrong systems.

To further King's post, I read that as far as CAFs go, you'll be able to create them from all positions except ground. So that's
Standing front Standing behind Turnbuckle front Turnbuckle behind Turnbuckle down Top rope standing Top rope down
That's a lot of variety, or so you'd think. Even with all of these start up positions, it still won't make much difference if it's as linear as 2009's. I'm hoping you can combine any animation with another so that you can create CAFs like the once Oz hacked without needed to hack them, like Choke-Bombs, Suplex Cutters and other such "Indy" style finishers.

If we use 2010 that WILL need to be banned, that will have to be an all or nothing ability.
