FUCK THQ FOR TAKING AWAY MY BLOODSHED AND TABLE & LADDER MATCH ON 2010!!! BITCHES!!! [/spaz]
I'm gonna actually have to make Punch a *gag* "Wrestler" next season as opposed to a Hardcore psycho. I at least get to keep Object Specialist and Hardcore Ressurection, but Bloodshed Ladder and Table Match is what "completed" him. That's three whole abilities I'm gonna have to substitute. Seeing as there's pretty much no emphasis on Hardcore wrestling AT ALL in the WWE anymore, I guess it was inevitable.
Looks like he's headed to The Monster's Den in the offseason to actually learn some wrestling moves...lol.

Might have to find him a new entrance as well, unless Sandman's "Superstar" entrance is one of the lucky ones that appears in two games in a row.

Ugh...don't remind me. I might be able to use Tommy Dreamer's...but Punch coming out without his Kendo Stick and Punchweiser just won't be the same. *Crosses fingers and hopes Sandman's entrance stays intact.*

Just a quick question, because I've been wondering since the announcing the potential jump to current gen. For those of us (like myself) who don't have current gen consoles, and won't be able to get the new PS3 or a 360 anytime soon, where does that leave us?

Assuming that you buy the game for the ps2, you can submit a form and it'll be converted over to the ps3.

I can clear that up for you. Initially, the plan is to wait and see what the differences between the CAS mode of the PS2 version and PS3/360 versions are, and determine if we might be able to convert PS2 CAWs to PS3 much like we converted PS3/360 CAWs to PS2. Since the PS2 version won't have 3D parts (meaning the clothing objects won't flow and move realistically) this I would surmise that the points system on current gen won't be present on PS2. And since the PS2 version will also most likely only have 32 layers as opposed to the PS3/360 both having 64 (I'll get into that later) converting the attires shouldn't be a problem. Morphing discrepancies on the other hand will need to be tweaked just as we did for this season. However, for a select few characters in XWA, the ones that I personally made and or tweaked for people this year, I'll be converting to PS3 regardless. Over 70% of the 2009 roster had their caws converted from current gen, and/or had both current gen and PS3 versions of the game. The remaining 20% are those who only had the PS2 version of the game, or didn't have the game at all and either myself or 3X created their characters for them. Those people will have their caws converted exactly as they are in 2009 to 2010, with maybe a few new tweaks. Since I overhauled Van for you, he falls into that group. So you're covered.
Now, on to the layer issue. I found out today that the layer system is still intact for NON 3D CAS parts. This includes designs, tights and a few of the shirts. For these parts, they won't take away from the 48 points allotted to the 3D parts. So you will be able to make detailed design layouts on your CAWs. And there will be 64 layers for both 360 and PS3. The Points system was done to limit the amount of 3D parts you can use on a CAW to alleviate the possible strain it would have as far as file sizes for sharing said CAWs online. There are a number of threads on caws.ws as well as the official SVR2010 forum and gamingring.com that state this, so if you want to read them up, you know where to start looking.

All I want to know about the abilities is how they are attained. Funny how THQ's being hush hush about that.
