Due in part that he basically trespassed, Punch had been escorted out of the building. Well, to be literal, they throw him out Fresh Prince style. Whilst cursing security, another hair brained idea popped into his head. How was he going to get back into the building? Only time...and a phone booth would tell.  |

Thanks you guys...and Sonya, I must say that you look great in purple! 
Now, for a new award this year which goes to the man and woman in the league who posted the best win-loss records in the league this year. Now, in knowing that some have had more matches than others, the criteria of this award goes toward what we in the front office call "competitive" matches. (Storyline matches are excluded- X)
And as the records were tabulated...one man and one woman did stand tall against the competition...literally. Collectively, they only have 7 losses between them...and one to give it away totally, has under his belt the longest winning streak AND longest title reign in the history of the XWA, while the other was only beaten one-on-one once all season long!
Wow. The Ironman and Ironwoman of the XWA...
...aka The Death Metal Goliath and The Diamond Dominator!

*After Ms. Easton announced for the “Ironman” Award, the screen behind her lit up with an image of Kayn sitting on a couch backstage in a club where his band was scheduled to play that night with the award in hand.*
“Hey everyone. Sorry I couldn’t be there in person to accept this award, but sometimes the life of a musician is a tricky one.”
*Kayn then took a good look at the award in his hand before continuing.*
“Well I would first off obviously like to thank all the fans that helped me push myself to be the best, as well as all the competitors that I faced this past season who helped me earn this award, but most of all I’d like to send a very special thanks to Magnus Von Schwartz for making sure that I kept a level head when he easily broke my streak and reminded me that I am not perfect. Next season, let’s see if I can up the ante again. Thank you so much everyone.”
*The screen soon faded as the show continued.*

Jamie Fury. A name that Channelle was growing more and more sick of hearing. Yes, she did live up to the moniker of "Diamond Dominator", but it was simply the fact that the woman was so highly regarded that burned her.
And she still wasn't pleased about her mic time being cut either.
Cute. Really cute. Live it up while you can Fury. You will be put in your place soon enough.

Me either really. I mean, as long as no one steps on my toes, I won't step on there's (laughs). You know how MG is. He just never gives up no matter what. And I'm sure if someone puts him out of his misery tonight. He'd still find a way to hit on the next diamond that walks past him.
And thanks, I appreciate it. Its kind of a weird feeling having the Biggest Mouth of the Year Award. Its kinda good and bad all at that same time. But I'm proud of it, nonetheless ;D. |

Yeah. I think that it is a great award in itself. It feels real good to be the champ to end the ’08 season and bring it into the ’09 season. So yeah, I’m gonna continue to work hard and hey you never know what will happen. So man, what are your plans for ’09?

 Jamie was in attendance, sitting alongside of her friends Amber besides Keith, and Marisol beside her. As she was named the Ironwoman, she smiled and accepted hugs from them as she made her way down the aisle to the stage. She was in a silver gown that showed off her amazonian form beautifully. Stepping to the podium, she took a look at the award and smiled.
You know, it's not easy doing what I managed to do this year. I set some really high goals for myself coming into the XWA. Just like Sonya there, I was scouted and literally hand=picked by Ms. Warfield to be a part of the Diamond Division...and I heard all of the talk around the industry about how it's so hard to standout here. Well, I think that people like me, like Sonya, like Alundra Jade, like Tanden Fearse and like every other woman who set foot into this place for the first time this past year have proven that if you do set your standards high that you can do great things.
I've never been one to gloat too much about things though. A record is just only a part of what makes a person big in this business, but I've earned the right to be called The Diamond Dominator. I attribute that to my training, my strategizing and just my natural instincts in the ring. Sometimes it does me well, sometimes it doesn't. Right now, my focus in 2009 is to continue to see that it does...and we'll see if this Diamond can be the one forged in iron again when it's all said and done.She proudly takes her award and starts to walk backstage... |
