The scene was back in Los Angeles where XGAMES2 resided from. The setting was the famous Kodak Theater, home of the Academy Awards that honor the best in all of motion pictures.
Tonight, this hallowed hall was filled to honor some different kinds of entertainers...the superstars of the XWA. Tonight, for the second time the standouts of the league's second season would be given their due. The ceremony would air live and viral over the1xwa.net, and once again the host of tonight's event would be the lovely and super talented Sierra Hyde Easton! ;D
As she walked out onto the stage in her hot pink night gown, shimmering in sequins, she received a resounding ovation from the full capacity crowd. Several XWA superstars were already in attendance scattered throughout, as well as other in the industry, reportes and of course the fans who helped make Year Two a success. SHE now stood behind the podium and the microphone affixed atop it. The ceremony was now set to begin...
Hello everyone! Welcome to the 2nd Annual XWAwards! Tonight, we honor the best...and in some cases the worst...of the best in the XWA for the 2008 season. Now, as being the company's creative director, I have to say personally that the season past was one that didn't disappoint. We saw plenty of surprises, new faces staking their claims as being standouts, and old ones showing us once again why the XWA is the place to be.
Now, we celebrate that by honoring the true standouts of the year, but it wouldn't be fair for me to say that this is a celebration for everyone-winners or not! Just because one might not walk out of here with an award doesn't take away whatever contributions they've made. I'll let you all in on a little something that I heard from our own President and CEO herself, Ms. Carmella Blackheart. She told me that if you are under contract with the XWA, that already makes you a winner...because the XWA is a place that settles for nothing less than excellence. With that said, let's all give a hand to each and every man and woman, from the superstars in the ring to the people behind the scenes who for two years in row have made the XWA the greatest show on earth!
Arousing the crowd with her encouraging words, the capacity audience follows suit with her in applauding the efforts of all those who're fortunate to be under the XWA banner.
Now, in a few short moments we will begin the ceremony...so sit back and relax, and get ready for a special night everybody! Thank you!
Stepping away and backstage once again, the scene would soon set itself up now before the first award of the night is given.
(This thread is open to all XWA members, old or new. As soon as there's some more interaction, the awards will be handed out.)

Sitting out there in the audience was Sonya, side by side with her man Syrus. In fact it was tough not to spot them even in the massive crowd in the theater. One is a natural redhead and the other has an afro that's double the size of his head. 
As SHE stepped off the stage for brief, Sonya leaned over to STE.
Isn't this exciting? I love these award shows, don't you? I wonder if we might have been nominated for anything?

At the entrance to the room enters Romeo Davis. He was dressed in a black suit with a black button down shirt underneath. Hanging from the neck of the black shirt was a gold tie. He was looking good. Dressed to impress as some would say. He makes his way down the aisle as he waves to the many fans that had been waving in his direction. He began smiling for some fans that had cameras along with them. He then reaches the right area and takes his seat waiting for the show to begin.

Dante had been sitting in the middle section of the audience reserved for XWA combatants, alumni, and facility. This would be his first time to attend the awards ceremony and he was already hating it. This would be prominently because of the ridiculously large amount of people attending the ceremony and the large noise that came along with them. Dante was beginning to become restless in the undersized chair that he found himself sitting in, alternating between looking at his cellphone and his PDA he finally heard the announcement that the events would begin shortly. Dante peered over to Syrus and the noticeably good looking red head he was sitting next to. At first Dante began lean towards a conversation, then he remembered exactly who Syrus was and what he had that Dante desired. Slumping back into his seat Dante continued to wait patiently for the awards to be presented.

Amongst the few XWA Superstars already in attendance was Brandon Payne. Decked out in a snazzy grey suit and red tie, wearing sunglasses. Enjoying the festivities and anticipating the announcement of the first award.
Hmm.. its gonna be interesting seeing who walks away with awards tonight. Hopefully I will be one of them.
Payne leans back in his chair.. all relaxed. Just waiting for the show to start. |

Syrus was...as he always is at gala-quality events, dressed to the nines. In what was easily the most pimpish purple suit you'd ever see a guy who wears purple suits wear, he was indeed a standout in an audience of thousands alright...like a soar, purple bleeding thumb. Sitting out there in the audience was Sonya, side by side with her man Syrus. In fact it was tough not to spot them even in the massive crowd in the theater. Syrus poses a perfect point. It was indeed a good year for the both of them. She tasted title gold herself, and of course her man closed out the year by becoming the World Champion...which she had convinced him not to bring out to the event despite his rambling on about showing off to the world. 
Tonight though, they were pretty much making it completely official that they were an item, by the fact that Sonya herself was in a sassy little gown of her own that was in fact PURPLE!!! Purple & red do go so well together, doesn't it?
You're right, Syrus. We do have a lot to be proud of. It still wouldn't hurt though...
As she spoke to him, she playfully started fidgeting with that big 'ol fro of his. It was just so tempting...and it's not like he didn't enjoy it after all.

Not really knowing why she came, Stacie was sitting in the area reversed for the XWA "wrestlers" dressed in a dress that was tight from the thighs up but was loose and flowing from that point down. She really wasn't into award shows either. They were to "high society" for her taste, she was always more of a beer and blue jeans type of girl so she was very uncomfortable here. It also didn't help her that she wasn't exactly looked upon as anything above gutter trash by the rest of the XWA roster. Shaking her head, she just sits there waiting for this to start. |

After a brief break, SHE now returned back to the podium where now, one of the brand new XWAwards for 2008 sat atop of. She took a look at the graving and found it quite fitting that this was going to be the first award of the night being given.
Okay everybody...fasten your seatbelts...we're ready to roll! Now, the first award of the night is for the XWA's Hottest Couple. This business can take up a lot of free time for the competitors, and I do mean a lot, so to maintain a relationship and a physically and mentally demanding profession as pro wrestling is a truly astounding feat.
I've also heard that a lot of the guys in the XWA are pigs, and the Diamonds play hard to get. Kidding...
This award goes out to the two people in the league who in 2008 managed successfully to mix business with pleasure, so to speak...and it seems rather convenient to me that they just so happen to be sitting right in the the very middle of the audience side by side, arm in arm, wearing the same damn color!
Such a cute couple...  The Hottest Couple of 2008...
Come on up and collect you lovely lovebirds!

Finesse was perched towards the back of the seating area reserved for the roster. As SHE announces the winner of the 1st award, Hottest Couple, he nods his head in and applauds with the rest of the crowd.
Can't even front on that one. Gotta' bangin' ass shorty, got the World Title, you know ya' boy Syrus is ridin' cloud nine right about now.

Right off the bat, it looked like both Sonya and Syrus were not leaving empty handed. Hottest Couple of 2008? That seemed like a no brainer, since last year's Hottest Couple weren't exactly together much on account of an injury...meaning they had no competition!
Sonya was all smiles as she and STE got up from their seats and made the walk down the aisle to the stage where they're award waited for them.
Some serious crystal action going on here...
She giggles as she takes a look at the award, being the first to speak into the mic and accept.
Well, it's not exactly something that you plan to do...getting into a relationship that is, especially at work. Most people say it's a bad idea to date a co-worker, but I say what do they know!?
I suppose that I have to thank the only other person that I can thank for this, being you Syrus...for being such a wonderful guy. He really is a sweetheart, you know that? I don't know how much you fans love this man, but...after a while...he starts to grow on you.
We tried to keep it on the down-low for a while, but I guess that this award makes it official, doesn't it? Or...did the matching purple give that away already?
Oh well. Um, champ? Speak to your public already! So many people here with a camera and a mic in front of you, I know your just begging for it.

Applauding them herself, Stacie knows just how hard keeping a relationship going while being a wrestler is. It was what killed her marriage. If they could keep their relationship going strong, they were that much better then her in her mind. |

Dante began the applaud slightly as the couple went to the stage the claim their award. The sheer unenthusiastic was easily apparent.

After the first award was announced Romeo began to applaud. Those two tried to keep it on the low, but the XWA knew what was going on.
Damn, I need to get myself a girl. Ha.
He shifted himself in his seat and continued to applaud for the two.
