I know it's pretty much all fabricated but seriously seeing all this hate The Rock is getting for doing what was in his own best interest is starting to get under my skin. Following John Cena on twitter has shown me the very childish needy side of wrestling fanbase and it is making me ashamed to be a life long fan of the business...
The promos on WWE TV are good but it's really the twiiter stuff [soley from Cena] that is getting under my skin.

I'm enjoying the fuck outtah it ;D Rock went off on a nice tangent tonight. Enjoyed that. Cena is in over his head. Nice play-time off-screen or not. I'm getting some nice legitimate hatred in the tone of Rocky's voice. Love how he's getting into it seriously. For keeps as it were. I loved the whole, various clarifications tonight of. ".. With -rap-." "And you address me... with... -rap-." "... You -rap- at me." Loved that shit lol But yeah, shows how legitimately well DONE war of words can be far more entertaining than actual matches. I'm liking it.

Cena & his fans=the blind leading the blind. That's all I have to say about that.

I love the in ring promos from both of them, it's the twitter stuff and Cena constantly bagging on The Rock. Honestly, to me Cena comes off as a bitter, jealous, child. So what? Dwayne left WWE and parlayed that fame in for mainstream fame. It seem to me that Cena is just jealous that no one in Hollywood wants him for any moves besides those crappy WWE ones.

Did anyone else feel a little Warrior-esque when Rock kept talking about The People? lol
I hope this results in a Cena Heel turn. lol At the point where Cena is now, if he were to return to his Heel ways, it would probably be the equivalent of what it was like when Hogan first went Hollywood on us.
Hopefully something good comes from all this and they're not just screwing with us. lol

I'm going to let my hopes get up and pray it ends with Cena leaving the company ;D
Dream. Yes. But dammit, I can't stand him anymore lol
Frankly, as long as we see a Rock Bottom at WM I'll be happy. And that-there-most-electrifying-move-in-sports-entertainment.

How fucked up would it be to see Cena in TNA? lmao A big middle finger to the company that made him what he is.

I never got how "the most electrifying move in sports entertainment" is just an elbow drop w/ theatrics. I mean, I'd rather see The Spiral Tap or the C4 (Paul Burchill) than that nut ass elbow :/

It's alright...you're still young, lol.
There was a point when an Elbow Drop was in fact a finishing move (Macho Man), as was a Leg Drop (Hogan), a DDT (Jake The Snake) or a top rope splash without a number in front of it (Jimmy Snuka). These are moves that are taken for granted and downplayed in today's wrestling compared to all the flashy, flippy moves you see now.
The one's you describe are just as theatrical as the People's Elbow...in the case of the C4, it only looks cool. The move just doesn't sell well. In the end, it's a slam..just like an AA/FU is. Just like in the end the Spiral Tap is a splash. No different than the moves I described above except they rely on theatrics just as the People's Elbow does.
Wrestling at it's core is part theater itself. It's not the move that gets the people excited, it's the person doing the move.

Ah, I see. Although, the C4 is a slam? Are we talking about the same move? Because I'd never thought of it that way, but I do see your point.

You mean what's called the "Flip Bottom" in the game, right? Burchill's move? Looks mighty cool, but also like it doesn't hurt one bit, lol.

Lol yea. You're right, it doesn't look like it hurts much, unless you do it from the top rope.

I enjoy both Cena's and Rock's promos on each other. Though this last one felt like a step down for either man. The emotion was there, but just too much saying teh same thing in one segment for me to really enjoy it. Also, it being a taped segment and a crap crowd brought it down even more for me.
Solid promo, but a step down from what I would expect from Rock and what Cena delivered the week before in my opinion.
