Justice had no name value in America. The only matches of her available were 3 minute cell phone clips taken at small events around Japan. Yet soldiers came by and talked to her and asked her to pose with them. She was a part of the XWA, which instantly meant something to any American wrestling fan. But that wasn't all she had going for her. She was also very cute, lovely, stunning, sexy or completely fuckable... depending on who you talked to.
"Say cheese!"
She flashed the infamous Japanese peace sign that was mandatory with every picture taken, her other arm wrapped around a happy soldier's waist. It was not her army. She had no feelings of pride for them. But they were nice guys who obviously appreciated the visit from XWA. A few stray hands brushing against her was rare, but nothing she hadn't experienced in Japan. She found herself enjoying her time and the positive energy that was around.
"What's your name again?"
"Justice."
She said with a smile as the young Specialist checked his digital camera.
"Thanks."
Justice was all too aware that she was attractive. That wasn't her problem. Her problem was that she didn't know what to do with it or how to carry it around gracefully, let alone use it as a weapon or tool. She looked around at the other XWA superstars. They worked the crowd with a very natural ease and the women? Were very feminine inside their comfortable bodies. Justice's one secret wish was that she could go back and be born plain or even ugly. It would have made her life much easier and much more comfortable.
"What's your name?"
"I'm Justice. what's yours?."
She smiled at the newest face and made ready for the camera again.

Among the other faces of XWA being photographed was Dante Cervantes, who was trying his hardest to not be photographed. Standing no more than five feet away of where Justice Asuka was being hounded by soldiers. The whole thing about him being among the undead and how they don't show up in pictures. That would prove to be problematic. He was trying to avoid being photographed, but that seemed to be a difficult feat to accomplish because every soldier felt the need to take a picture with everyone on the roster within five feet of where they were standing. He was dressed in his all black and red suit once again. He also had his white gloves on in order to protect his hands from the sun above his head. He couldn't forget about the black umbrella, just in case he needed the extra coverage. This made hiding from the camera's lens much easier. His black shades hid his crimson eyes. Normally, he wouldn't put himself in danger like this. He would normally just stay within the confines of his locker room. Unfortunately, there were no locker rooms to hide in out here in Fort Bragg. Here comes another one of those persistent soldiers right now. He shook his head while he heard the soldier ask...
Soldier: "Hey. Who're you?"
"Dante Cervantes..."
Soldier: "Can I take a picture with you?"
"I'd really rather not..."
Soldier: "Come on. It's for my kids."
"Please, sir. I really hate to have my photo taken."
Soldier: "Just one photo. For my kid."
"Ugh... Alright..."
He waited for the soldier to get the camera ready and to hand it off to one of his buddies. Dante was going to have to be tactful in his evasion of having his photo taken. He stood there with a fake smile stretched across his face. The soldier stood beside Dante with a real smile across his face. The buddy had the camera pointed and ready...
Buddy: "Alright. Say 'Cheese!'"
Soldier: "Cheese!"
"Cheese!"
The moment the other solder went to click on the button to snap the photo, Dante turned ever so slightly to put his umbrella in the way. Hiding his face, the only visible undead flesh, to give off the illusion that when the photo came out, he would be standing there and something was in the way of his face. He really hated having to disappoint fans, but he really could not afford to be photographed.
Soldier: "Thanks."
"Don't mention it."
He took a breath and exhaled a heavy sigh. He stood there with a miserable look on his face. That was over. Was it going to be like this all day? He hoped not. Dante thought he should just play the bad guy in this company. Then he would have an excuse to not want his photo to be taken. They could just say that he was just being in character and he could successfully not get his photo taken as a direct result of his purposeful avoidance.
"Hopefully this'll be over soon..."

By the sheer magnitude of this PR event, it was quite clear this "Tribute" wasn't just an exhibition. For a lot of the roster, it would be their first time on camera for the new season. The "new era" as some were calling it. For a select few, this would be their first time on XWA TV period.
Jon sat at a table, signing autographs. Some black shades covering his eyes and his hair quite shaggy, the result of a bad trip to the hair stylist. He decided he'd go short as result, and let it grow back naturally. Wearing his TapouT "Hardstyle" shirt and some jeans and sneakers, Payne was a double-hit with these troops being an active competitor in two sports they enjoyed, pro wresting and MMA.
"Thanks", says one soldier as Payne signs an autograph for him and his son back home. "Your last fight was sick, man. When you gonna go a for a title?"
That was a good question. After a year and a half of competing in MMA, it was a question many were asking.
I don't know. When they give me a shot, you know I'm gonna take it though. We'll just have to wait and see.
Such a thing really wasn't for him to decide. It was up to the promoters. All he could do was compete, train and improve his skills, so when the time did come he was ready. But that's another tale.
The table started to clear up now. Jon looks around to see what's going on. New faces, old faces. This was a time, a rare one at that, to interact with them as well as these troops/fans. Wasn't too surprising that most of the attention was being paid to the ladies though. He heads to one particularly populated area and is greeted by a hefty amount of cheers as he walks on over. The spoils of being a fan favorite.
Payne high fives and pauses for some photo ops of his own. One particular soldier is freaking huge! A mountain of a man. They take a photo, holding up their fists and making that grimacing "I'm gonna kick your ass" look on their face, then Payne tells him...
You should really look into wrestling if or when you're done with the Army. I know a place that can show you the ropes easily.
He hands the young man a card to the Skool Of Hardkore, the highly touted wrestling academy that he himself was one of the first graduates of. The soldier nods, imagining the possibilities.
Finally he reaches the end of the "trail". Taking some photos with the troops herself is a new face, and quite an attractive one at that. The rest wasn't too bad looking either, not that Payne notices that type of thing off the bat. He is a gentleman after all.
Again, his notoriety is enough for the troops to turn their attention to him and acknowledge his presence (albeit briefly). He makes his way over to the young Japanese girl and jokingly introduces himself.
These boys aren't giving you any trouble are they? Heh Heh...I'm Jon.
He outstretches his hand to greet the lady.

Signing autographs at a table was Romeo Davis. He was actually surprised with the amount of autographs he was signing for the troops out in Fort Bragg. He thought he would be lucky enough to sign at least a couple autographs with the way he acted last season on the Overload brand of the XWA. He indeed is trying to turn over a new leaf and return to the way he was when he was back on Takedown. He misses being the crowd pleaser and the somewhat of an entertainer he was by dancing all the time. He feels as though he is starting to make a strong comeback and this is definitely a start with the amount of autographs he was signing.
Can I have a picture with you Mr. Davis?
Yeah sure and you can just call me Romeo bro haha. Actually I’ll take a couple pics with some people then I’m gonna take a break for a lil’ bit and I’ll be back for more. Thanks guys!
After taking a couple pictures with the troops, Romeo decides it was time for a short break and maybe converse with other XWA superstars. He notices Jon Payne speaking with a new girl who he didn’t know. He also sees another man who he also didn’t know. He figures it would be better to chat with someone he has actually seen before. He picks up his bottle of Poland Spring water and walks in the direction of Jon Payne and the new girl.
Hey Jon, what’s going on bro? How’s the MMA life?
He then turns in the direction of the new girl.
Hey I’m Romeo. You must be new to the XWA.

as she sat down some of the guys who already have gotten pictures and autographs shuffled over to her. as she was signing photo's she brought for the troops and taking pictures, she smiled seeing the vast amount of support she got for returning and the even more support XWA was giving the troops. she since was running so late and in such a rush she didnt really clue in to the other XWA stars around her untill the line died down abait.

Kenji didn't particularly care for these people, but he figured it couldn't hurt signing a few autographs and taking some pictures. He noticed some other XWA superstars over in a huddle, but they could go to hell. He saw a couple of men who were former AD's, who went to the army for their families, as the drug trade wasn't cutting it. As he was having a conversation with them, he suddenly became intrigued in the conversation of the other superstars. He didn't know what it was, but he suddenly wanted to hear more. He told the men goodbye and walked over to where the other Superstars were, but the former AD's followed him. He passed the time by continuing to talk to them while listening to all of the other conversations.

Justice waved good bye to another soldier before turning to the man in the TapouT shirt. 'Jon' was almost a foot taller than Justice, so she had to crane her neck a bit to find him. He was scruffy but had a nice smile. She shook his hand for a moment before introducing herself.
"I'm Justice. No, no they aren't so bad. They're really pretty sweet compared to the drunk salarymen back home. Those guys are like octopuses."
She turned to 'Romeo'. He was shorter than Jon and easier on the neck.
"Hi Romeo. Justice."
It was her first time to meet any of the guys in the company. It instantly made her a little homesick for all of the guys back in her old, no name, no money company.
"I have the easy job. They all want to have their pictures taken with Amber Gianni or Jamie Fury. I'm just the one with the shortest line."
She grinned, and waved to a couple of passing soldiers. Looking around it was obvious that some of the wrestlers really enjoyed these events, others? Not so much. But everybody gave something to the young men and women of the armed forces.

Well it’s a pleasure to meet ya’ Justice.
Romeo looks over in the direction of the table of Amber Gianni and Jamie Fury and noticed how crowded they are. The fans of wrestling really do love the women wrestlers. He returns his attention to the group of Jon Payne and Justice.
They have been around for some time which has gotten them a bigger fan base. I mean once the season moves along a fan base will for ya’ also. It seems like you already have a solid fan base though ‘cause I did see quite a few soldiers over here for pics and autographs. Enough babbling from me though, how do ya’ like the experience so far Justice?

As Romeo asked about Jon's MMA career, he replies...
Well, I'm just waiting for a phone call from Dana to tell me who he wants me to fight next. Luckily I get some good training from my camp, so I'll be ready whenever that happens. Pro wrestling has a tendency of keeping one in shape as well, so I should be alright. Either way, I'm ready so them what real evolution is all about, whether it's in the ring or the cage.
How about you though, ready for a change of pace?
Then adds to what Romeo said about Ms. Justice's standing in the "big picture".
He's right about that though, you might find yourself having a fanclub here in no time flat. It's really not as hard as you might think it is to get that kind of credibility. All it takes is a little skill and a lot of commitment. I'm pretty sure you've got both, or you wouldn't be here.

Yes, they were both right. It would just take some time, and she had generated some interest. But she wasn't stupid. She knew they just wanted her name and picture because of her body. That was okay for them, but for Justice? She wanted to make it here in the ring. She wanted to show her Father back home that she could thrive on her own. Secretly, she probably wanted her mother to one day see what a great person she had walked out on. No, being another pretty face was not going to get her to her own personal goals.
"They are nice guys, really. But I wouldn't call them fans. Nobody here has even seen me wrestle yet, except that one agent. I'm really excited and nervous about today. This is going to be my first American style match. If I do good? Then maybe I'll have some real fans."
That was going to be a tall order. She hadn't met a Diamond yet who hadn't had at least 10 pounds of muscle over her. She was really going to have to put in the match work to hit her Justice Driver.

Well, it's Fatal 4 Ways for the most part tonight, and anyone with a lick of experience knows that in those kind of matches, it's a crap shoot. You never know what to expect. I sure don't look forward to them myself...there's a lot that can go against you. Timing. Bad positioning...
So many factors. It truly was every person for themselves in that style of match. But the one thing that Payne hated the most was...
...but especially getting blindsided. That whole thing about having eyes in the back of your head? Totally impossible. One second you can hit a double team move on one person, and the next the person who helped you is drilling your face into the mat. It's all really a matter of taking as little damage as you can, and that's always easier said than done.

Justice sighed, her hands in an unzipped army jacket she had been given for the photo shot. It had a rather fierce looking Eagle on the back. She had had to ask what kind of bird it was because there were no Eagles in Japan, except for the zoo.
"Not good for us. But good for them."
She nodded out to all the soldiers, families and friends.
"It's the only way they get to see everybody."
That part made her happy. Besides her own goals and desires, she really did want people to have a good time and to give those same people a good show. When you perform in front of 200 people on a good night? It's the small things that count.
"Do you know who you are fighting?"
She looked at Romeo and then Jon.

No idea.
They were keeping that under wraps. The whole suspense of it was something on every competitors mind, or at least in the back of it.
We probably won't know until they're walking out to the ring for that matter. Nothing like a little added drama to make the night interesting. For all I know...
He nods in Romeo's direction.
I might be in the ring with you tonight, Romeo. Of which case, you know...just business.
But I'll tell you the truth, Justice...on paper this is an exhibition, but it goes a little deeper than that. I know what happens in that ring tonight is going to trickle right into the start of the new season. That's exactly how Carmella Blackheart is figuring it to happen. I know how that woman's head works. She wouldn't have arranged this show just for the charity of it.
I've got a strong feeling she's banking on some blood to boil out there.

Yeah bro of course it’s just business. There is no way I’m backing down for anyone when I get in that ring lata’ on. I actually can’t wait to find out who will also be in the ring wit’ me. No matter whom it is though I will be ready for them.
Romeo chuckled after his last statement. He indeed is ready to get back into the ring and wrestle anyone that is placed on the opposite ends of the ring from him. It makes it that much better that everyone in the XWA will be performing in front of all the troops that are fighting for the USA. Just thinking about it Romeo gets himself pumped and hyped up for the big pre-season show.
You are right there Jon. I’m pretty sure something will go down by the end of the show. There are too many hot heads out there for nothing to happen. There will always be that one person who gets angry ‘cause of their loss and throw a fit. It’s cool though ‘cause I think it makes it that much better.
Romeo turns his attention to Justice.
It’s good to be new around here because no one knows your wrestling style yet which is a good thing. Others have wrestled in the same business for so long that they know how their opponent wrestles. They know their strengths and weaknesses and how to exploit ‘em. With you, no one can really do their homework. Either way I believe that if ya’ put all ya’ got down in that ring during your match, you will be rewarded.

I've got a strong feeling she's banking on some blood to boil out there.
Some already has.He was, obviously referring to the tense moment Him, 187 & Mr. Smith had just had out in the ring.I assume you've seen what just happened out in the ring? If you're not careful, after I'm done with 187 and Smith, one of you could be next.Evil smile, and then he goes back to talking to the troops from earlier, while still in earshot of the conversation.
