They get on the ferry and stand on the edge of the boat.

As she finishes she rests her head on his shoulder as she watches the boat approach Lady Liberty.

"That's the sign, idiot!" Ryan slowly raises his arm from his side, and places it atop her shoulders. He was also cold, considering he only had his sweatshirt, so it was good to feel the warmth of another human.

Once they get off the ferry, Velvet looks up at the statue and smiles as she looks at Ryan.
Are you sure you can handle going up to the crown? I don't know if you can make it all the way to the top.

He shrugged slightly. Maybe it would be to cold to go all the way to the top, but he intended on trying anyways.

They enter the statue and start the long long climb up it. After about an hour and a half of walking up it, Vel turns to Ryan.
I hope you're not tired yet, because we're only half way at the most up the statue.
She wasn't too tired. She was still used to this kind of walking up to the top as she waited for Ryan's response.

Ryan wasn't tired, just a little winded. It was strange because he wasn't a smoker, and he was in great shape.
I'm fine but... *Huff Huff* ...This place should get an elevator!

But that would take the fun out of it. So come on pick up the pace and we can make it to the top even sooner. I used to be able to jog halfway up this thing but not anymore. Maybe I should start getting back in shape.
She giggles at her last comment as she waits for Ryan to respond.

No. Curiosity, I guess. I just hate the fact that people get married young, and two years later get divorced. It just makes me wonder if people think their lives are going to end within the next 10 years. You have a full life to live is basically what I'm trying to say....

Nah, I was suppose to be in an arranged marriage set up by my folks but I didn't go through with it.
Vel looks at Ryan before continueing.

Actually, everything I've told you except for maybe one small fact is true. You just have to do your research on people more. And it'll always be beautiful now but at night it's even better. But since the statue doesn't allow anyone in the statue at night
