It may sound funny, but I trained with my sister. She's two years younger than me. I originally wanted to be a movie star, and I starred in one or two movies, but then left. My sister was the original Blaze wrestler, but I decided I wanted to try it. So, she helped train me, along with a long time friend of mine, a Canadian superstar named Cobra. *He forces a fake grin.* So, I guess you could say my little sister made me what I am today. I burst into a fed owned by some Riot guy, while she sticked to some small time feds where she could wrestle longer matches and try new moves.
He starts to kill himself inside. He hated talking about his training. He felt it made him look bad to get trained by his sister.... and he hates talking about his sister even more that his training.. The only time he'd ever bring up her name without being asked is to rub in the fact that she dumped fellow XWA star, Austin Harris.
It's very visible that Ryan's ears start to burn up. He can feel them turning red by the second.

Vekvet sees that it upsets Ryan and feels a little bit guilty but not too much.
At least you had family to help you. My family pretty much disowned me because I wanted to be an athelete. So be happy that your sister was there to help you with your training. I'm sure your sister would be proud that you met her expectations and possibly even went beyond them.
She tried to sound sweet, which was something she wasn't the greatest at but hoped that by showing she had no intention of holding his training above him he would cheer up.(how thoughtful)

Thanks..It may seem strange, but who Ryan is on camera is totally different than off camera. On camera, he's an egotistical maniac. Off camera.. He's a little lost.

Velvet smiles that it actually worked. She was glad that she actually did something right but she had to be careful that this wasn't the pathetic card men play out of desperation.
So uhm...I saw your promo with Genesis and Austin Harris. Do you know Genesis from somewhere or did him recognizing you take you for surprise.
She hopes changing the subject would cheer him up even more.

Genesis? No, not really. I knew that he was present in Atlanta, and that he did pretty good.. I just didn't realize he was here in New York. He just came onto the scene unwanted sort of.
He rises the cup to his lips, pops the lid off and sips some of the soda.

Velvet throws her wrappers out and returns to the table as Ryan drinks his soda.
I'm not doing anything in particular so if you want we could take a walk around the city and see some of the sights if you want instead of staying here the whole time.

Sure. I love New York ;D
He puts his soda down. Ryan stands up, and with Velvet head out onto the streets.
Where too, Velvet?

Velvet smiles. The air felt nice. A little on the cold side but that's what she had her jacket for.
It actually doesn't matter to me. I've seen everything New York City has to offer so where ever you want to go is fine.
Velvet really doesn't care. She's just glad to be out of that cafe. Definitly a place she didn't want to be in too long.

Ryan looks back at her, and motions for her to come with him. They start heading down the street.
New York's beautiful this time of the year, eh?

As they walk down the street Velvet merely gives a short but honest reply.
Yeah it'll always be home too. You should see the city at night though. It's more beautiful than most things. Especially from the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty.
Velvet got caught up in the moment remember all the times she had spent nights on the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty just staring at the city and taking in its beauty. Suddenly she realizes that she got caught up in the memories and shyly looks away from Ryan Blaze.

I know a lot of beautiful sights...He stops walking and looks to the ground. Los Angeles... The place he was born and raised. Ryan remembers his home like he was wandering the streets just yesterday..I was born and raised in Los Angeles. There's some beautiful sights right there.. Honestly, even though it has huge gang problems and such, it's still a wonderful place. Honestly, I wish I could go there more often. Last time I was in Los Angeles, I was visiting my family. That was 5 years ago...I was only 19.
But the Hollywood sign....
That huge Hollywood sign.. I loved it. When I was around 15 or 16, I'd go up to that sign every night and gaze at the stars. The sight from there's phenominal...
So...Ryan looked up from the ground, and over to Velvet. He was somewhat surprised she didn't walk off. Once again, he motioned his head for them to continue on.Do you know how long of a walk it'd be to one of your favorite sights?

It's only about 4 minutes to the Empire State building or we can walk about 10 minutes to the ferry to get to the Statue of Liberty.
I know it's a long walk up to the top of either place but if I remember right the trip going down the Empire State building is horrible. Crowded and extremly hot. But I'll let you choose which one you prefer more unless there's a different spot you would like to go to.
Velvet sees the smile on Ryan's face and shyly looks away with a giggle as they continue to walk down the street.

Although it's longer, I think Liberty gets my vote. I've been here in New York since July and I've yet to actually go there. I assume it's nice, yes?

They start to head to the ferry to go to the Statue of Liberty.
Yes, the view from the crown is great. The boat ride is also nice when it's warm. It's still relaxing even when it's cold but it's even more enjoyable when it's warm. And what have you been doing since July to not see Liberty herself? It's usally the first place a visitor to New York goes to.
Velvet closes her coat all the way as a cold wind blows by while they make their way to the ferry.

Well.. I've seen old lady Liberty.. I just haven't been to the place. She looks wonderful from afar, when the night life of New York can be seen shinning on her...
Ryan felt sort of bad that she was cold, and he could tell she was just by looking at her. Part of him wanted to man up and keep her warm the old fashioned way by wrapping his arm around her shoulder, but he didn't want to just seem to.. touchy?
I guess you could say the wrestling career has been my number one priority since arriving in New York, but I can't use that really as an excuse. I guess I never seen what the big deal was about it, or had someone to go with...
At this point, they've fully reached the ferry. Ryan looks over to Velvet, a little confused.
Do you know how much the tickets are?
