Say whatever you want Aimi.
You need talent for getting fans behind you. And that's a wrestler's golden dream, because it means if you have no skills the fans will get on your back no matter how mediocre you are.
And insulting people for who they cheer is just wrong.

Hell if its Cena's golden dream to get mindless fans to love him... then well... he shouldn't even wrestle then because thats about as good as a dream as wanting to become a burger flipper at McDonalds... Oh and me "Insulting" People for who they cheer for isn't wrong... its just who I am Chet... get to love it... or well... just grow a brain that can realize that Cena sucks...

Look
I have a Cena t-shirt, and I do not consider myself mindless.
And no, I aint a Cena fan. I am a wrestling fan, and insulting the fans is offensive, is insulting every reason why wrestling exists today.

Guess this is where I should step in and add my two cents. There's a little something that we Americans cherish (the the point of abusing, lol) called Freedom of Expression. It's one of those laws written in our Constitution, and it does indeed apply to this situation in that anyone here can have any opinion about a given wrestler or those who like those wrestlers, no matter how unwarranted, uninformed or just plain selfish those opinions may be. Having been a guy who's been watching WWE/WWF a little longer than most of you...I can tell you that it's rare for them to push a smaller guy to be main eventers. It dates all the way back to the Golden Age of Wrestling. The tops stars in WWE then? Guys like Hogan, Piper, The Shiek & Volkof, these weren't small men by any means, and none of them were as athletic as the stars of today. What they were though were CHARACTERS. That's what WWE has always been about...and always will be. Most of you grew up post 80s Hogan, during the Monday Night Wars where you switched back between the story driven stuff of WWE and the athleticism of WCW (most the cruisers, but lots of younger talent as well). WCW tried to push the SPORT in sports entertainment, and failed. WWE pushes the entertainment, and succeeds. Guys like Cena, Batista, etc., they are characters. Made and molded by the writers to be in the position that they are. WWE will ALWAYS go for larger main eventers cuz that's how they ALWAYS have been. They want to make characters "larger than life" and the easiest way to do that is to pick the large ones. You'll have smaller guys like Punk and Rey and HBK who slip through, but then there's always some kind of "characteristic" that they shove down your throat about them to make you think they can beat anybody, like Shawn's "resilience", Rey's "heart" or Punk's "technical prowess" or "unorthodox style". Not saying that they don't possess theses qualities but there always has to be a "selling point" for their characters. Name one main eventer who didn't have one. The big strong guys have the obvious one which is "power" and "strength"...and historically that's what Vince McMhon has gone for. Historically he's also gone for stereotypes. Hell, WWE was BUILT ON STEREOTYPES. When he bought out his father he introduced characters to "appeal" to the demographics. The Junkyard Dog was obviously aimed to appeal to blacks, you had the Strike Force and Ricky Steamboat to appeal to the Hispanics and Asian fans and then there was that guy from Venice Beach who's last name is BOLLEA whom he gave and IRISH stagename to appeal to the white folk. This is stuff that's well documented peeps, watch Hogan's A&E Documentary if you want proof. Bottom line is that WWE appeals to WWE fans, NOT wrestling fans, and there is a difference. You have wrestling fans who make a stink over these kind of things, and then you have the forum hounds and insiders like myself who could care less either way because either way...Vince is making his money. Like him or hate him he is, and he's making it off of ALL OF US. Case in point: That. If you have it (and you wouldn't be here if you didn't) guess what? Vince McMahon has a chunk of yours or your parents hard earned cash in his pocket. If you really hated WWE and wanted to not have anything to do with it anymore, you probably won't be here next season, cuz that means that you're gonna have to boycott buying SVR2008. The game isn't a "wrestling game" per se (and this has been a constant complaint of mines mind you). It doesn't depict PRO WRESTLING, it's depicts WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT. Each and every person in the company is product, and as such they will market that product how they see fit and profit from it however they can, and the wrestling fans...not WWE fans are left out in the cold cuz I hate to break it to you all but, Vince doesn't care. See picture above. He's still making money off of us. Bottom line: love it, hate it, deal with it. The hard facts is that this has gone one for the 50+ years that the WWF/WWE has existed and will continue to go on...so just call a spade a spade. There's no need to make such a big deal about things you have no control or insight over. It's all business...and when WWE stops making their money that's when they'll get the message. That's not happening anytime soon, because of not just the ticket buying fans, but the merchandise buying public. See picture above.

I agree...WWE, as much as I hate to say it, will keep going for quite some time. They're famous because they are the most heavy distributed "wrestling entertainment" program. I'm still going to buy the games, but not for enjoyment of playing as the superstars, to create CAWS. God knows thats all I do now with it. I just create and create and create...I haven't played a match in months.

"Vince is making his money."
I think that line right there pretty much sums up THE ENTIRE industry from WWE all the way down to all the indy feds. Every wrestler alive, I don't care who or where DREAMS of making it to WWE. It's like a minor leaguer getting called up to The Yankees in the first week of October. That's the dream, whether they care to admit it or not. Just look at the guys in TNA who WERE in WWE in the past. If Vince gave them a call and said "hey, come on back for a paycheck" they'd be on the FIRST flight back to Connecticut in a HEARTBEAT.
WWE is no different then any other professional "sport" in the WORLD on the fact that the only line that matters is the BOTTOM LINE. In the end, it's all about money. And in the world of wrestling, WWE is the only place you're going to make any major money as a wrestler. And that's off marketing and Merchandise alone.
You think John Cena really gives a damn if people like him as an "Athlete"? He's staring in major motion pictures, releasing hip hop albums, appearing on talk shows, hell he's got an endorsement deal with SUBWAY. For every Cena hater in the world who says "He's not a wrestler" or "He's only got 5 moves"...so did Bret Hart. And he's "The best the is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be". And he got over using The Sharpshooter, a standing dropkick and an elbow drop from the 2nd rope.
Think on that one...and SEE if you can even mount a decent response.
(And FYI, I'm captain of my School Debate team. I LIVE for thses kinds of discussions) ;D

Yes, but even though everything you and Thr33x stated were true, people still have the right to be opinionated and express what they feel about WWE.
