Chris Benoit R.I.P

I just hope that if this IS true is doesn't mar his status and what he has done for the industry. He is a true pioneer and a journeyman...his contributions have benefited not one, but all three of the major feds in the US having wrestled in WWE, WCW and the old ECW. It's not quite the same as NY Giants legendary linebacker Lawrence Taylor, but similar. LT had run-ins with the law and some problems with drug abuse after his retirement, but that didn't stop his fans and his peers from voting him into the Football Hall Of Fame.

I think the same will happen to Benoit, he has done too much for too many people to be denied his place in WWE's Hall Of Fame. I just hope that once again these reports are untrue...if they aren't it will be a difficult time for fans and the entire WWE roster for a long time to come.

AUTOPSY RESULTS RELEASED !

A press conference was held outside the Benoit residence today a little after 3:00pm Eastern. The conference was ran on Fox News, CNN and MSNBC. Here is a recap of what was said in the first part of the conference with Lt. Pope:

* Lt. Pope was the first to speak at the conference.

* Pope stated that World Wrestling Entertainment made a phone call to Fayette County police at 2:30pm ET on Monday to have the Benoit residence checked on when Chris was not answering phone calls from WWE officials.

* When police arrived at the residence, three bodies were found in the home. Those bodies were Chris Benoit (40), his wife Nancy (43) and their son Daniel (7).

* An investigation and autopsy has revealed the situation as a double homicide-suicide. Evidence in the home has revealed that Benoit murdered his wife Nancy sometime on Friday and then murdered his son Daniel on late Friday/early Saturday morning. A short time afterwards, Benoit committed suicide by hanging himself in his weight room. It is believed Benoit committed sucide either early or late Sunday.

* Lt. Pope stressed that this is the theory as of now based on autopsy results. Toxicology reports are still coming and they could take up to several weeks.

* There was no suicide note found in the home by Benoit.

* The official ruling is death by asphyxiation for Nancy and Daniel.

* When a reporter asked if Benoit strangled Nancy to death and smothered Daniel to death, Pope wanted to leave it simply as asphyxiation.

* Pope confirmed that Daniel's body was found in his bedroom on his bed.

* Pope had no knowledge of domestic abuse at this residence.

* There were prescription medication found in the home, all legal.

* When asked if anabolic steroids were found in the home, Pope confirmed they were, but that they had a legal prescription.

* Pope would not further comment on the text messages sent by Benoit to friends over the weekend.

* Pope believes Benoit's suicide took place several hours or no more than day after Daniel's death.

* The belief after autopsy results is that Nancy's death took place on Friday.

* Scott Ballard (Fayette County District Attorney) then took questions.

* Ballard talked about how bizzare it was to have a murder-suicide in the community.

* Said he was most struck by a 7-year-old boy being murdered.

* Stated that the timings of all three deaths hasn't been confirmed, but the belief is that Nancy was killed Friday, Daniel was killed Saturday and that Benoit committed suicide sometime on Sunday.

* The belief right now is that all deaths took place at different times.

* When asked if Benoit had killed Nancy and let the body remain in the same place for two days, Ballard said enough isn't known right now to confirm that.

* In another surprising part of the story, Ballard revealed that a bible was found placed next to the bodies of Nancy and Daniel.

* Blood was found on Nancy's head indicating a struggle.

* It isn't known at this time if Daniel was sleeping when killed.

* It isn't known if Benoit ever left the residence.

* When asked about domestic abuse, Ballard stated that divorce papers were filed in 2003 by Nancy, but were later dismissed by a judge.

* There is no motive known for the killings at this time.

* The belief is that Benoit made no attempt to hide the bodies.

* Ballard stated that Daniel's body was found in his bed in an upstairs bedroom, Nancy's body was found in a family room upstairs and Benoit's body was found in a basement weight room.

* Autopsy results revealed that Nancy died Friday, that Daniel more than likely died Saturday morning and that Benoit died either late Saturday/early Sunday.

* He stressed that an investigation is still undergoing as to the timeline of events of when all deaths took place.

* Ballard said the toxicology reports will be of interest when they are revealed.

* He reiterated to the press that bibles were found by the bodies of Nancy and Daniel, but not by Benoit.

* At this point, the press conference came to a close and that an investigation is still continuing.

yes kinda but those were thing that kinda spooked me out after eddie died how he also dyed in Real life and in the game, Wierd and creepy, Benoit is diffrent & just weird they go agasint the DEADMAN and die is all. I dont belive in superstition so i KNOW it hasa nothing to do with it just WEIRD.

Dammit. DAMMIT! I thought I had it. I thought I had a perfect reason on how it could have been a framing by Nancy Benoit. I had it fully planned from FRIDAY to Monday. Then I hear the damn steroid excuse. DAMMIT!

...I was wrong. I can't believe it, but it's true. He is a murderer. Was...

I can't even listen to his theme or watch those videos I posted without disappointment now. I idolised him. And now I know I idolised a murderer. Someone who killed his own wife and son.

I lost all respect for him now. All of it. No matter how great a wrestler he was. I grew up being beat by my father and seeing him beat my mom for years, I just can't respect someone who does shit like that. No matter who he is or was.

I did my best to pretend I knew it wasn't true. And to find a good way to change the sides. I did. But who cares now...

1: Steroids are NOT the cause. I repeat, NOT the cause. You can't stop and think while on a Roid rage.

2: I fully believe that someone else was involved in this to set up Benoit. Notice how they have not said anything about finger prints, nor was there any weapon found. There are still a lot of holes in this investegation. Nothing is concrete yet.
