At First I was trying not to belive it when I was told then I went to WWE.com and found out for myself and I was speechless. Both my fav wrestlers Eddie.G and Chris.B both dead they were like my idols.

World Wrestling Entertainment is providing more details about the shocking turn of events leading to the deaths of Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy and son Daniel.

WWE officials were first notified this weekend by Benoit that he would be unable to appear at a scheduled Smackdown/ECW House Show in Beaumont, TX on Saturday and the Vengeance PPV the following Sunday in Houston, TX (where he was scheduled to compete for the vacant ECW World Title against CM Punk). Benoit informed WWE officials that he had a serious family emergency and left it at that.

WWE's VP of Government Relations Richard Hering was then made aware of several curious text messages sent by Benoit to WWE employees and wrestlers on Sunday morning. WrestleView.com has spoken with at least one strong source about this situation stating that Benoit's text messages almost had a "thank you and goodbye" theme to them causing many to be alarmed and concerned. As a result, Hering contacted Fayette County sheriffs on Monday and requested that they check out the Benoit residence when he was not getting back to WWE officials.

Authorities then responded to the Benoit residence and reportedly had a difficult time entering their new home on Monday afternoon, which was guarded by two large German Shepards roaming around the property. When authorites entered the home, they immediately located the bodies of Benoit, Nancy and Daniel. World Wrestling Entertainment was then notified of the discovery at approximately 4:00pm Eastern on Monday. A press conference was held Monday night by Lt. Pope officially ruling the findings as a double muder-suicide within the home.

As reported earlier, it is believed that Benoit killed his wife Nancy and 7-year-old son Daniel over the weekend and then killed himself on Monday. All three bodies have been received by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's crime lab in Decatur, GA. Autopsies will be performed Tuesday morning, while toxicology reports will not become available for two weeks. It is interesting to note that WWE.com is currently reporting that further information relating to the investigation and cause of death are known at this time, but the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department has requested that information not be released by WWE at this time.

TMZ has learned more about the deaths of WWE wrestling superstar Chris Benoit, his wife and son -- and the information is extremely disturbing.

Several Atlanta-based law enforcement sources have told TMZ Benoit may have strangled his wife on Saturday, then smothered his son in his bed a day later. Investigators refuse to officially comment, pending final confirmation by the coroner on the cause and time of the deaths.

One source told TMZ that Benoit was texting friends during Sunday's WWE "Vengeance" Pay-Per-View program -- possibly watching the show with his son, who may have been alive at the time.

According to sources, Benoit then hanged himself Monday in a weight room inside the family home.

A police investigation is ongoing.

The Associated Press is confirming earlier reports of a double murder-suicide that Chris Benoit strangled his wife Nancy and smothered his son Daniel to death over the weekend before hanging himself on Monday.

As reported earlier, all three bodies were found in different rooms of the residence. Benoit hung himself in his weight room, while Nancy was found in the living room and Daniel was found in his bedroom.

Authorities are currently investigating to see if steroids played a factor in the deaths of Benoit, his wife and son. Toxicology reports could take up to a week or more to complete, while other tests could take weeks or even months.

Now that the AP has picked up this story with additional details, it has become the top story for many news outlets such as CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and others.

If this is in fact true, then it certainly tarnishes the reputation of man who many consider to be one of the greatest of all time. I for one don't want to believe it, but when these toxicology reports come through, then it will all be out in the open.

It sadly reminds me of the fate of Lex Luger & Miss Elizabeth years ago. Luger himslef was a highly decorated wrestler, well respected by his peers much like Benoit is, yet he was sadly enough the man who was found guilty of the murder of The First Lady Of Wrestling.

That is sad but true proof to me that there is a very real possibility that Chris Benoit did in fact do what these reports say he has done. Still...I wait for more info before I jump to any conclusion.

My thoughts, I don't belive he did such a thing now its a set up or He had to rat some people outon some shyt and has joined the Witness Protection program and what other way then to Kill his family to do such a thing. So If he is really dead My heart will forever be with him and eddie but if he is still alive I hope he can survive with-out his wrestling career.
