Jon was barely able to get up to his feet as the TakeDown main event came to an end. Once again somebody had taken advantage of the situation, and once again he was beaten in a multi-man match. Guess old habits die hard.
"Are you OK, Payne? Get the medics out here!" The ref screams as blood continues to drip from his skull. The man who busted him open...the same man who unceremoniously powerbombed him seconds after he was eliminated...was all that Jon's clouded mind could think about. That move might have cost him the Pure Championship. It wasn't even about Jimmy Ames taking advantage and becoming the first Pure Champ because of it...he was only doing his job, but Rock Carmichael...he had crossed the line.

Despite the EMTs efforts, Payne refuses their help...standing on his own two feet fueled by if nothing else, rage. The blood was now falling onto his chest, but there was a rush of adrenaline that was slowly dissipating the bleeding. For the first time in a long time, Jon Payne had a target to gun for, and his name was Rock Carmichael.
