Dynasty Warriors 7 EX/Musou Showcase

Just doing videos showcasing the cast of Dynasty Warriors 7 doing their EX Attack and both their Musou Attacks. Nothing special but I figured I'd start up the thread and throw them in here either way. I'll be keeping all the videos to this post, the top post, arranging them by Kingdom and when I add a new one, I'll update the thread via a post, saying who it is and what Kingdom they are under. Simple enough, no? Well, let's get started!

This video showcases Xiahou Dun showing off his moves. Reason for showing his second Musou twice is the same as the reason for Bao Sanniang's. To show off the animation first, by triggering it from a high location, and then the actual attack.

Musou Attack 2 - Blue Inferno - Smash the ground, emitting a wide-ranged shockwave.

This video showcases Cao Ren, who will never break, showing his moves.

Cao Ren is my favorite in the series, as well.

Just a note on his first Musou attack, the very end, when he jumps and hits the ground, it creates a small shockwave that damages and knocks away enemies. I couldn't seem to get any caught in it though so after three different attempts I decided I would just note it.

EX Attack - Unleash with weapon type Flail - Restore your Health by stealing an enemy's spirit.

Musou Attack 1 - Charging Bull - Concentrate your entire being into a furious charge at the enemy.

Musou Attack 2 - Grapple Smash - Grab an enemy with an unblockable strike and throw him around with the power of your spirit.

Note - I'm not sure if that's how they meant his second Musou to be but it seems very much lacking. If they ever release a patch that fixes it (if it is even broken, I mean) then I will redo this video.

This video showcases Pang Tong, The Fledgling Phoenix, showing off his moves.

Note 1: I used his first Musou twice to show that you can indeed control the direction of it while he glides.

Note 2: His second Musou is capable of damage, enough to KO the peons, at least, on earlier stages. It's mainly meant to restore his health, which I took enough damage beforehand to show that. He's also invincible during this time so he can't be knocked out of his recovery.

Musou Attack 1 - Sky Surfer - Imbue your body with the power of fire and glide through the air.

Musou Attack 2 - Power Nap - Take a quick nap and restore your health.

Note: There is a neat little glitch involving his EX Attack when it's followed up by a Musou attack. Pointless, but neat all the same. The enemies in the EX Attack animation (when they are spinning around) will still do the animation, but in slow motion.

Musou Attack 1 - Lightning Wave - Unleash a fast-traveling wave of thunder energy.

Musou Attack 2 - Thunder Kick - Imbue your body with the power of thunder and pelt the enemy with flying kicks.

While I didn't record it, I wanted to point out that his Musou Attack 1 can be done immediately after Musou Attack 2, effectively creating a combo of the two.

For a moment I thought you were gonna say they announced a new Dynasty Warriors 7 game and I was like nooooooooooooooooooo lol.

Not a bad game, but there were parts from 6 I would have liked return for 7. I started like Liu Shan(Might be Lu instead of Liu) first musou once I realized what it was lol.

I think I'd scream if KOEI released one of their spin-offs for DW7 so early. XD And, you got it right, it's Liu. ^_^ I've only played as him in his Legendary Battles so far, but will be playing as him again soon enough to max his stats out and then do a video for him. Not quite sure when he'll be done as I tend to pick character's at random. lol

I hated 6 for the most part, namely due to the roster cut as well as how it was rushed so a lot of character's shared the same move set. I know with anyone being able to use any weapon (Well, almost. No chain whip for males, no great sword for females) that it is in a way the same thing, but I think they differentiated them enough with the EX attacks and Musou attacks that they aren't complete cloned move sets. There -were- some nice things in 6, though but overall, to me, it was a disappointment.

The main things I miss from 6 are the Other faction story/musou mode(Legendary battles is similar, but not the same), Lu Bu's weapon, and the level up system. Felt like I accomplished more in 6's different stories too, but meh it's not much of an issue with me lol.

Edit - Yeah, I miss a few things from 6 too. I kind of like how everyone had a grab attack. I wouldn't mind seeing those make a comeback in the future to be honest. And, the skill tree in 6 was much larger compared to the one in 7 it felt kind of like a pseudo-RPG with that thing. lol But yeah, I miss the OTHER forces not having their own story unique to them. I get they were going for a more historical feel with this game's story but we can still complain! XD
