This is a shortened, revised version of the XWA Moveset Guidelines that've been in place since the league began. These are non-negotiable.
DAMAGE OUTPUT
An XWA CAW should have a moveset that has balanced focus of damage to several body parts. Ideally, most movesets target the head and body equally, though some will also have limb damaging moves as well.
STANDING GRAPPLE PRIORITY
The most commonly used moves in AI controlled matches are the standing grapple moves. This is the area that is looked at the most in terms of balancing. If any of the categories in your standing grapple focus on one specific body area, they will changed without notice to reflect XWA guidelines.
HUNTERS
We will revise movesets, but if a CAW is found to have moves that entirely focus on a single area (Hunters), you will not be allowed to compete in any matches until a revised moveset is submitted by you. At our discretion, we reserve the right to completely change these movesets as well.
SIGNATURES & FINISHERS
As of right now, we will allow the use of moves that are finishers for the in-game roster to be used as strong (Groggy) grapples. However, if you are found to have a move which is the Finisher of another XWA Superstar, that move will be changed to another that damages the same area and is within the "persona" of your CAW (ie, a power move, flashy, technical, etc.).
CLEAN PIN MOVES
These are moves in which the animation of the move negates the chance of a Rope Break, so no matter where they are done, the result in a clean pinning situation similar to a Leverage Pin. For 2011, these moves are
FRONT
Powerbomb 1
Michinoku Driver 1
Tigerbomb 1
Powerslam 3
Hurricanrana 2
BACK
Frankensteiner 2
German Suplex 4
IRISH WHIP REBOUND
Hurricanrana 2
Powerslam 6
If you have these moves in your set and they are not either a signature or finisher, they will be changed as stated above.
In short, we reserve the right to edit part of or your entire moveset without further consent in order to maintain as much of a competitive balance between CAWS as possible.
FOR NON EDITABLE CAWS
While most leave the editing ablility open, there are some who choose to upload CAWS which cannot be edited. You are entrusted with regulating your own movesets to fit XWA Guidelines. While we can't see your moves in the Create Moveset menu, we can in the Practice Arena and in-game. If any discrepancy is found, you will be notified and your CAW will not be allowed to compete until we have a "fair" version of him/her.
CAWS that are in violation of moveset guidelines will be stripped of any title if one is held and/or removed from any Special Match we have for the season. Objection to this will result in removal from the XWA entirely.
