This is a thread to throw in any videos you have of you playing on a game that is ranked as a fighter. This can be against people or against the CPU because the CPU can provide a great challenge sometimes, depending on the game. Case in point, Dissidia.
It can be a retro/old school fighter like the Art of Fighting or one of the new breeds like BlazBlue. It doesn't matter. If it fights, throw it in here!
This was before I took my long break from SSFIV. Or, in other words, before I quit playing. I haven't played since August I'd say.
This was recorded and posted back in July of 2010 and still holds true from what the title of the video says. Back when I was decent. This was back when I was somewhat confident with Dudley, who I was using as a main. If I played now it'd be horrible in comparison. But, yeah, this was back when I was 'decent' with Dudley. I was still polishing him, as I made a few obvious mistakes in the match-up. I was playing against a friend who had a pretty strong Sakura, so, no clue what happened.
As for why I quit playing, I just hit a rut with it and didn't want to play anymore but this is just one of the battle replays I had in my channel and felt like sharing it. No sounds - just music overlapping the video.

Once I get my financial situation squared away, I'm getting back into SSF4, BFBC2, all that. Plus I'll snag MvC3 as well as SFxT when it comes out (REALLY looking forward to that). SF's in my DNA, I don't think I'll ever lose my edge...just some polishing up is all it takes. I'm you'd be the same way if you got back into it. Maybe a few losses, but soon you'd remember what you learned from before. I use to salivate when I saw I was fighting Dudley, because he's so strong that people pretty much bandwagoned him. Most Dudley players (and the same can be said for Juri & Ibuki) have so skill, they just run the same moves over and over. Some patience sent them packing all the time, lol.
Might as well throw up some of my old fights as well. There will be more coming eventually. In SSF4, Guy was my guy (pun), followed by Ryu. Ninjitsu & Karate FTW. Did one Chun Li fight just to test and see if I wanted to use her more as well.

Haven't had many fights worth recording but I think my fight stick is fucked up. I keep having serious execution issues when playing any charge character. Hell it could just be me sucking though :/

In my opinion BBCS provides a hell of a good challenge via CPU. Then again I haven't played it in a while so my getting tossed around by Shishigami isn't too much of a surprise lol
And thankfully there are some chargers you can use without using the massive charge aspect OF them. For me the case and point in this example is Chun Li. I love mah Chun ;D And for the most part, I barely use the charge aspects of her, due to the insane strength of normals and pokes.
Ohhhhh the 'Danger Danger Will Robinson Danger' you can cause with Chun Li's pokes.

Although I have been getting better with characters that use a QCF motion. I've realized I really like playing with Guy and 'sim

Just look at the last of my vids to see the potential awesomeness of a good-level Guy. I got an S for that particular performance, never really giving Ryu a chance to do anything, and I just Bushin-flipped over him when he did. I almost never regular flip, because it's high enough to go over fireballs, and you have the option afterward to dive in with the elbow and set up a Final Fight combo if you connect. If you don't it's easy to just block out of whatever your opponent tries to counter you with, and if they try to jump at you and knock you out of the air...POWERBOMB!
And the dash move? Oh man, it's amazing how deceptive it is sometimes. Almost instinctively people block because they think you're going to attack, but you can use it to simply get in close and follow up with a combo. I've had times where I didn't do anything and my opponents didn't know what to do, it's a psyche out move.
I had the privilege of fighting the top Guy player on PS3, and might I say that he makes my Guy look as the Brits say "rubbish". Nearly unhittable...just to mobile for it. The only chars Guy has trouble with are charge characters, name Guile, Balrog and Bison because they can turtle anything you try and pop off a special move very easily. Guy just doesn't have the weapons to make them do otherwise, so you have to just fight them smart and seize whatever chance you get to hit them with a combo.

Throwing a lil something in here. Get this thread going again. Maybe? Heck, just to show I haven't forgotten about this place, too! Besides, XWA needs some love in people posting on it.
Been back at SSF4 here lately. Arcade Edition to be precise. Still hitting up with Dudley and Abel, but have switched gears slightly and started using Sagat. So, here's a couple matches with me as Sagat. Nothing expert or advanced, just me using what I've learned so far.
Now with that being said... The first match is against someone at random. I entered an Endless Battle Lobby with some people. I'm including this one because I enjoyed the fight, mainly because it is the first El Fuerte I've fought outside of friend's just joking around with him.
The second match is against my friend, who was using Evil Ryu. He's not great with Evil Ryu, I'll admit this for him. His two best characters are Juri and Oni. I added this one it because it's a milestone for me. I finally pulled off a combo I had been trying to do for a while with Sagat. This is the first fight I've been able to land it.
I make a good bit of execution errors as well. And, I do admit, I use Tiger Shot a bit regularly. It's not so much to hit them, but to bait them in closer to start up combos or to land a Tiger Knee as a punishment. I do like to get close and combo, though.
Song used is "Fly" from the Ryu ga Gotoku 3 OST.
Also, I ♥ Mago. He's kind of my inspiration into playing Sagat. He's a slower character than I'm used to, but I'm getting into the swing of things, I think.
