Well. Considering C. Viper was put in recently, and there are rumors floating about around Akuma and potentially Hakan or Juri, I'm not sure they'd put in many more SF'ers this time around. With the devs saying they wanted to try and keep the SF char cap around 6 or 7 this time max. Then again, no one thought Haggar or Viper would make it in either so it's entirely possible. I would personally kill for Juri to be in. It's all I really need. Either her or Poison. If they finally pulled their heads out of their asses and stopped the whole BS about 'controversy' and such. Back when Final Fight came out? Okay, fine. It was controversial for Poison to be who she was and two different things considered by two different regions. Despite the fact that the makers stated she was always meant to be a legitimate 'she'. And not what was made of her. But I could rant on about that particular point for hours lol MVC3, Feb 15th for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Go pre-order, nao, nao. Latest Preview With Seth Killian/I'd also kill to have B.B. Hood back in. I love her./

I officially don't give two rat's backsides who else they put on this game now. Whoever else it is that they plan to have...either Marvel or Capcom...I just have this to say to them all...
Personal Dreamteam to be abused heavily: Haggar, Chris Redfield & Deadpool. Lots of guns, swords, pipes and other assorted blunt objects and heavy ordinance. Fun times.

Not a clue when I'll get this myself but its nice to see Haggar getting some spotlight in newer games. Granted, I don't particularly care for him but it is still nice to see the guy getting some recognition. lol I think the last game I played that he was in was Saturday Night Slam Masters. That was -ages- ago.

To be perfectly honest, despite my love of SF games for as long as I remember being able to play video games. And the tie in of Mad Gear involving SF elements etc etc all the interconnective things between FF and Mad Gear and SF etc etc.
Until about... maybe 3 or 4 years ago, maybe a bit more. I barely knew who the hell Haggar was. And that's with my love of the character Poison. But it is indeed good to see the Man all this internet Meme Mythology was based around lol
He still isn't better than Mr. F-A-B- u LOSE. But you know, he's a start. ;D

Back when the first Final Fight (which is a total oxymoron BTW, lol) came out, Haggar was the man. The most played characters were Haggar, Guy and (lame ass) Cody, in that order. These were simpler times though...the pre-Street Fighter 2 arcade era, where beat 'em ups and the SSSS (Side Scrolling Space Shooter) ruled the land.
I think what made Haggar so popular though was the fact that for years before FF released, in most beat 'em up games you had to fight against big, muscular guys who could toss you around like nothing...and then all of a sudden you could actually BE a big, muscular guy who could toss people around like nothing. Albeit they answered this with the Andores, who were even BIGGER, but I digress, lol. Wrestling characters in fighting games have become way more detailed & complex since then, but nostalgia is a big thing to us old-schoolers. Haggar is simple and to the point...that's his charm.
I waited for years to see him in a SF-style game. What I'm really happy about is that they didn't make him a rip-off of Zangief...granted that Zangief was a rip-off of him though, lol. Hag's his own style, and that's what's really cool.

I always played Guy! I always preferred the faster-type characters. But! I do respect Haggar and what he was to the genre, a big burly man to fight bigger burly men. XD Character-wise I like him, playing as him though, not so much. That's what I mainly meant by I don't particularly care for him.

Yeah and you shouldn't be allowed to use faster characters lmao I still have some replays and memories of the Abel-Dayz of pain. And he's only moderately fast. When you do get MVC3 I ain't playing you till I'm all pro and Gawdly and stuff so when you go high speed on me I can at least throw up some defense I'mma train and train and train some more once I get my pre-order. Gonna be all Panda eyed from sleep deprivation but so help me it'll be worth it lol

You still have some replays when I was using Abel as a main? That's like... A year ago. XD Though, I wouldn't mind seeing them one day. I can't remember how I played as him, as sad as that is.

Don't worry, it shouldn't take too long to get the hang of this one. The main point of the MvC games was it's pick up & play charm. You don't actually need much strategy, but if you use it you'll do a whole lot better, lol.
