Pianoing might be easier with a stick with quality buttons though...so if I use turbo or not depends on that.

Huge, soul-crushing-if-true update. Why Ono Why?Really? I'll admit SSF4 is more 'balanced' than MVC3, easily. But the game is by no means superiorly safer than Vanilla. At least in the A.E. version the characters are openly broken in the case of Oni and E. Ryu. And of course resident 3rd Strike Gods Yung/Yang. But fuck least Makoto gets buffs galore and other 'low tier' characters get bumped up too. For the sake of balance my ass.

Unbalancing of characters creates community? That's an oxy-moron, lol. Still though, AE should be exactly that. I'm all for the DLC though, with tweaks to make them fit into standard SSF4 parameters. The one thing I can say about standard SSF4 is that with enough time and practice, every character can be used effectively. Bring these AE style characters in without nerfing them would totally flush that.
DLC yes, home AE no. That would be an online nightmare.

Yeah but fitting the new characters into SSF4 parameters kills the purpose of the individuals. I know all fighting games strive for balance in a imbalanced consumer base. But lets be honest; Some characters NEED to be GodLiek Shin/Oni Akuma? SHOULD be a freak of nature. Evil/'Dark' Ryu? SHOULD be more OP'd than Ryu is [Yes I know that's just a scary thought] Bison SHOULD have some insane unblockables. Seth SHOULD be hard to defeat. And even though I absolutely l-o-v-e Juri as she is and think she's no where near as OP'd as some may believe, she SHOULD be that way. It's a fighting game, story continuity is never a strong point. This is true. But God dammit, it still HAS a story. The 'all-powerful villains' SHOULD be hard to beat. Because when they ARE beaten it makes the 'good guy underdogs' look that much better. I agree that the DLC chars [If they ever give us them mind you] should be more balanced than in their A.E. counterpart. No doubt about that. I saw the leaked videos of Oni and Evil. It's not funny. It's really not. I know I just spent a bunch of time rambling on about how some characters should be GodLiek. And well... I guess Ono agrees considering the depth of sheer evil those two Boss characters have lol But most of all? The majority reason of why I'm bitching? Makoto and Viper will lose their buffs. Fuckin' hell man lol Plus Juri loses hers too. And even though the majority of competitive players side on either, she's trash or she's OP'd. I loves mah Juri. So I wanted buffs lmfao

Like Viper and Mak needed buffing. Maybe to stack up to the uber-powerful ones, but stand alone they're both pretty strong. Personally though, I'm all for superpowered "boss" level characters, when they're not user controlled that is. Putting that kind of blatant cheapness into the hands of the player will kill the fun of the game, since many players are cheap enough with what's available already. Make them tough to beat when you're playing the AI, but when user controlled make them tough to be because the person controlling them is good. Or lucky, lol.

If Capcom did that, everyone and their mother would pick Bison, Juri, and Seth. Evil Ryu/Oni Akuma both have weaknesses. E.Ryu is a glass cannon, and Oni has a lot of life but his damage is low. From what I've heard 'Gief is getting a pretty good buff. Aparently he will be OP. I mean it's not like he really needed it, I mean this is what a good 'Gief player is capable of with some practice.

To be fair, a lot of people spam those characters as is anyway lol Had to show this off; Some nice footage of the new over the shoulder angle featured in the yet-to-be-released-over-seas 3DS and it's premiere launch title SSF43D. Looks good. Obviously some 'noob' play and I suspect some 'Light Screen' mashing as in the feature of having moves mapped to single buttons on the bottom half of the 3DS' screen. But still. Tis cool Specially since I'm going to be picking up a 3DS at launch so. I'm all happy lol

Realllly don't like to admit it...
But E. Ryu's new Second Ultra looks freakin' sweeeet. The first one seems to be... quite useless. There's a delay allowing someone to get ready to block/counter/dodge unless it's used as a Meaty Ultra. But second one? Shweeet.
