TheXWA.net met up with Clayton Lang, one of the XWA's newest prospects, at the POW! Mixed Martial Arts Gym in his hometown of Chicago, IL. He spoke on what he expected of the coming 2011 season, and his personal opinion about the competition he looks forward to facing.
I'm gonna make this simple and plain to all of you. What makes a man the best at what he does isn't how he talks about it. It actually what he does that proves this. You know, I'm getting sick and tired of people saying that they're the best with nothing to show for it.
That's the reason I signed with the XWA, because they aren't about talking about it. They already are, and they have the talent to prove it. See, the two men I wanna face off against are right here in the XWA. The two men who are the best in this business today.
The Pure Champion, and the World Champion.
Both men need no introduction. You say the names Kayn and Magnus, and you know what's up right there. Two men who're gonna take everything you've got and give it back to you with some spice on it.
That's the kind of competition I want. That's what it's all about. Showing your dominance against the ones in this game who truly are dominant. But let's not get it twisted...I got respect for them, but I wanna make this perfect clear to either or...
I'm coming for you, because I want to beat you.
It's not enough to just stand in the ring with you. I'm coming to mop the ring up with you. I'm coming to deliver punishment the likes that neither of you have ever experienced in your entire lives. I'm coming to make to you know my name and know it belongs to the man who will be the next dominator of this business.
And I know you're not gonna just give that to me, so prepare for it to be taken. Maybe not right away, but one day...real soon, you will see me. And when you do gentlemen, you're gonna hurt in ways you never thought possible.
That's my prediction to the entire XWA.
