A stoic, grizzled veteran of many years in wrestling. He's as straightforward as they come, not one to play on words or be affected by the "child's play" of the younger generation of wrestlers that dominate the XWA's roster. His demeanor in 2011 will be more resentful to the current generation of superstars in the industry, whom he feels are a disappointment.
Theme:
"Fever Dream" by Tyler Bates from the soundtrack of the motion picture version of "300" (same as 2010)
Bio:
Magnus' aspiration for the 2010 season was to win the greatest championship in the world, the XWA World Title. This didn't come to pass, but he did succeed in once again becoming the Pure Champion.
After defeating Blade Myers for the title, it would seem though that no other competitor would have the courage to step into the ring with Magnus, the man who's dominated the Pure Rules division of matches in the XWA since his debut with the company. Oddly enough, he would finish the 2010 season without so much of a challenge from any competitor.
For a man who thrives on competition, this does not sit well. In an industry with much bravado and bragging, and several current and former XWA wrestlers doing their best to speak of themselves as if they are the best, Magnus believes none of this. He's returned to the mindset of himself being the true example of what it means to be a competitor, and every other man until they prove otherwise to him in the ring is nothing but a farce.
With Pure Title or not, Magnus' goal in 2011 is a new one...to clear the smoke and break the mirrors of professional wrestling, and to show those who think themselves to be in "echelons" that they are not above him...but far below than they could ever imagine.
And he will do it as he always has done, in the ring and by example.
