The ref counts...
1................2...................3!!!
And at that moment, Jamie Fury was overcame with emotion as the ref then called for the bell, declaring her the victory of a hard fought battle with the most intense competitor she had ever faced before.
Buzz: She did it! Jamie Fury...by gawd...did it!!! Diamond Champion for the third time!
Goldman: And on this night, she etched her name in the history books. The first 3-time world champion in all of the XWA, man or woman! It couldn't have happened to a better competitor and person, partner.
The referee returned to the ring as Jamie continued to celebrate, handing her the once vacated title belt, now once again in her hands. It was only 2 months ago she lost the title, but that was all in the past now. The present was good, and the future was bright.
She looked down at the centerplate. Still it had the name of the former champion on it, who disappeared and left the title behind. What was to become of her, she had no idea...but what came of it now was as clear as day as she raised the championship high for all to see.
Goldman: Fury with the title. Starting to become a regular thing now, don't you think?
Buzz: She's the woman to beat in this business, and the question now is...who can?
A grin from ear to ear reached her lips as the fans cheered on while her theme continued to play, and that's when she turned her eyes to her opponent for the night, Sonya Robbins.

Sonya knew she was in for a fight on this night. She knew that Jamie has a serious determination in her eyes from the moment the bell had rung. She knew like most of the world did by now that when the woman had her sights set on something, she was like a force of nature. Try as she did to weather the storm, she couldn't.
There was no shame on Sonya's face though as she willed herself up to her feet. She knew she had given all she had, and that was all she could do. It could've gone her way, but late in the match, Jamie poured it on and she was unable to withstand her "fury".
Back on her feet now, the new champion turned her attention to her, smiling at first as she deserved to do, but then having a look in her eyes of respect. Fury nodded, and Sonya nodded back. She then inched towards Jamie and spoke through the roar of the crowd.
Looks like we're even now, champ. I wouldn't mind doing this again sometime.

I knew you would say something like that.
Another smile. Jamie felt no malice from Sonya's words. She knew she was in the ring with a serious competitor, but so too was she in it with a respectable one. This would surely not be the last time these two women would face one another, not now after Sonya Robbins showed the world that she was destined to be a dominant force in her own right.
I'm sure these fans wouldn't mind it either. We can make it happen.

That of course, would be another battle for another day. There would be another time for these two to face off for the grandest prize in women's wrestling. This night belonged to Jamie Fury though. Sonya took the opportunity to be able to raise Fury's arm in victory.
Congratulations. You earned this...
Goldman: Now is that a sight to behold or what? The respect these two women have for each other is heartwarming.
They gave each other a big hug in the middle of the ring, and the crowd was touched by every moment of it. They screamed. They cheered. They chanted both women's names. This is what it meant to be on top of the world, Sonya thought. She might have won this match, but she did in fact make it as she so sought to do.
There was just one mountain left to climb. The woman who stood now once again as Diamond Champion. Sonya smiled and applauded with the crowd, and then made her way out of the ring. Her night of work was done. Now came the preparation to climb the mountain.
Buzz: There goes a woman who we've literally watched mature into one of the top talents in this business today. Going back to what she said earlier, I do believe it is Sonya's time now...title or no title. She's the real deal ladies and gentlemen!
Goldman: Wont be long before these two step in the ring again, I'm sure of that.
