Chris Lionheart stands at a podium, looking out at all the gathered press. The XWA World Title sits on top of the podium, fastened around stands of the microphones which are stuck in Lionheart's face.
You know... I haven't been back in XWA long... but for the short time I have been back I've gotten an idea of who some of the big cheeses on my show, TakeDown, are. I thought long and hard about our World Title, and discussed things with those on the staff team and board of directors. It is with great pleasure that I can officially announce that a decision was made for the World Title match for XWA's "XGames4". We have a man who has clawed his way to the top and looks to stay there if he has his way, a man whom certainly needs no introduction. The current champion, Kayn. And he will be going up against a challenger man whom I shall give the floor to first... A man whom was heavily involved in the running for the Pure Title, but has recently changed his focus, the masked King. Given how these two men conduct themselves between the ropes, it should be a great fight.

King then walks up to the podium along the way he shakes Chris’s hand, King takes a moment and eyes the World Title.
Well thank you Chris for that warm introduction... King vs. Kayn… Man it sounds like we should be having a boxing match. *King looks at Kayn* And Kayn if your gonna come to a Press Conference at least dress appropriate, man that shirt looks like someone just gotten sick all over it. *King then pulls out a shirt from his back pants* unlike my new shirt “Tap or Pin There’s No Coming Back” which can be bought at the1XWA.net for $19.99 *the fans laugh at King’s humour, King then balls up the shirt and throws it a fan* But all joking aside this is wrestling and we’re fighting for the ultimate prize the XWA World Heavyweight Championship. Now I have the utmost respect for Kayn he has clawed and crawled his way to the top. His record speaks for itself an Ironman and Hero of the Year winner and also a former Pure Champ, and now the current World Champion. But you see Kayn I have been a World Champion before so I know what it takes to be a champion, and what it takes to still be champion. You see Kayn I’ll be walking in XGames as a challenger and whether I pin you or make you tap I will be walking out as the new World Champion.
King then steps off the podium and takes a seat on the right side of the podium, letting Kayn take the podium.

*After King finishes speaking, Kayn stands up and walks over to the podium. He stands for a moment before speaking.*
"I'm going to make this short and sweet."
*Kayn places his hand on the title that is on the podium.*
"This title right now is my title. My name is the name that's on the name plate. That name is not going to change anytime soon."
*Kayn turns to King*
"King, I have a bunch of respect for what you've accomplished in your career, but respect doesn't get you titles. Beating the champion gets you a title, and at XGames this title isn't going anywhere except home with me."
*Kayn turns and returns to his seat, giving the GM a chance speak.*

As you can see, we certainly have ourselves a heated battle with the focus placed right where it belongs, on the title belt itself. And just like Kayn's response was short and to the point, I'm now going to open up the floor to any questions you, the press, might have for our combatants...

"Yes... I have a question for you, Mr. Lionheart..." a voice piped up from the back. "With matches like this, is it any surprise that Overload constantly hands you back your asshole on a silver platter after all of the raping is done?"
A collective gasp comes over the crowd as the man who spoke these words stands up.
"Ladies and Gentlemen... I pledge to give you better ratings than this garbage up on this stage by taking that gentleman's camera right there, marching off to the nearest restroom, men's or women's, and taking the BIGGEST shit and broadcasting it over XWA airwaves. I mean, seriously... if our main events can't seem to drum up enough interest to keep half this crowd from yawnin', at least somebody around here's gotta take one for the team to take an FCC fine to get you all to tune in."
Epic has made his way to the aisle way now, staring at the camera that he was... actually HAS, taken from the man from before. He holds it in front of his face.
"The kids still love Springer, now don't they?"
Throwing it up on his shoulder, he points it at the men surrounding the podium. "The masses certainly don't seem to be interested in a man that has arms like a B-52 bomber... and believe me, that's not a compliment... stupid little mask, and the guy that still hasn't moved out of his mom's basement 'cuz he's SO hoping that finally his hair metal band hits it huge and he can bang lots of sloppy second chicks when they're done with the lead singer, guitarist, and bouncers that let them in. They can't be.
So, here's my proposal to you, Lion-o', once again... let me save your show. Put me in the match, I don't care if that victim of a bad steroid needle is in it or not, and let me take that belt, fix your show for next year, and everything can just be peachy, mmmkay?
Because, honestly, I can go and get this show shut down in about 2 seconds after eating some nasty Taco Bell..." Epic motions with the camera... |

Lionheart takes a look at the man in the aisle, stolen camera and all.
I'm sure no one here wants to see your bare ass on TV. But there is something I do like to see. That is someone who cares about, and 'wants' to hold the World title. Your, uh, methods might be unconventional, non-traditional, but they get you heard and usually get your desired results - am I right? That is something I know a little something about and practice myself all too well, and can on some level even respect.
What is better for TakeDown... to have it's World title hotly contested between two wrestlers who have respect for one another. Or to have it on the line between the respectful competitors and a third who adds a dash of unpredictability into the mix? This is, afterall, a special event - XGames 4! So I say If you want in, Epic, you're in!

Wait... Are you telling me that your gonna give this Jackass wannabe a title shot, just because he threatened to show his ass on TV?... If that was the case then I would've done that years ago. But anyways... Didn't you just lose to Kayn for the World Title at Only The Strong? Matter in fact you got knocked out by Kayn, oh that was classic. What im saying is you had your chance at the title now its my turn. I beat 3 other men to get myself in the main event at XGames. So I go back to my question again Chris are you really gonna put him in the match?... But you know what?... I actually welcome it the more competition the better. But like I said before it doesn't matter what type of match it is, I don't care if its a triple threat match, or a fatal four way, or a "Whose the biggest asshole match." The fact of the matter is this, I will be walking out XGames as the New World Heavyweight Champion whether I have to beat Kayn or Mr. Zack Ryder... Oh sorry i mean... What was your name again?
King waits for a response from either men

*Kayn sits and shakes his head in disbelief at Epic's audacity. Kayn was about to stand up and walk away from the press conference until Lionheart responded to Epic's request. Kayn stopped and looked at the GM with amazement and a slight bit of anger for giving Epic still another chance, but before Kayn was able to interject King replied. Kayn waited until King finished before making his statement.*
"Scott, you won't to be happy until you can't wrestle anymore will you? How many chances can you be given to constantly fail? If it was my call, you wouldn't have another shot, especially at XGames, but since I'm not in charge and the guy that is just added you to this match I don't have much say. But that's not going to stop me from retaining this title. No one is taking it from me anytime soon, not you, not King, no one. I've worked too damn hard to win this belt to be a short run champion. You just keep running your mouth about how great you are, I'm going to prepare myself for my next title defense."
*With that Kayn stands up from his chair and leaves the press conference, allowing King, Lionheart and Epic to continue.*

"Boohooohooohooo, fellas! Guess what... obviously Liono's common sense was tinglin', so yer desires to go out there and play grabass in front of millions got overturned! Don't be a crybaby bitch about it, it's all just business!"
Epic laughed, watching as Kayn left.
"See, King? That's why I'm in. That's why I've got this in the bag. I've already mentally destroyed our champ that I don't only haunt his nightmares, that voice in his head and all that... I've already got him throwin' a hissy fit and trying to get away from me 'till he actually has gotta face me! That's ratings right there! That's what you can't ever dream to deliver, and that is why I am the absolute future of this business!
Oh, and I'm your future champion as well... You'll be the one having the shitty end of the year walking back up the ramp to MY music. Guaranteed!
PEACE, BITCHES!"
With that, Epic tossed aside the camera, flipped off his remaining opponent and headed off to dream sweet dreams of King and Kayn being his bitches. |
