A few segments into the show, Fabiola stands in the interview area alongside Dan Ripley.
Dan, tonight you're matched up against MG in the OTS Tournament. Does the fact that he gained a win over you two weeks ago at Ring Rage change how you're preparing for this match?
With an unimpressed smirk on his face, Ripley answers.
What kind of question is that? Hell no it doesn't change anything. I'm going into my match against that North Jersey flake the same way I do every other match. Well, every match but the one at Ring Rage.
Sooooooooooooooo...are you saying that MG beating you was...a fluke?
If there's one thing I've learned in life and in business, it's that there's no such thing as a fluke. There's simply put...necessity meeting opportunity. I underestimated MG two weeks ago. Something that as a professional you don't do. The fact of the matter is yes, MG beat me. And I make no excuses about that. If I did, that would make me like Sylk or Dynamite. I own up to the fact that he beat me last week. But what shape was he in when he did, eh? Yea. My point exactly. It took everything MG had in that sorry sack of a body to best me. And I wasn't even taking him seriously. Bad move on MG's part. Because I am taking him seriously tonight. Dead serious. I know you're wanting to hear me talk about how I plan on getting payback and this, that and the third...but that's the last thing on my mind.
What's on my mind is reaping the spoils of ultimate victory. And the spoils is World Title match at XGames. To win it all tonight puts me in the XGames Main Event two years in a row. That looks real good in big lights, and even better for the bottom line. Ya' see, Fabs...success isn't something that you're handed out. And it's not something you earn either. Success is something you take by force. You subjugate it and make it yours. Three wins tonight puts me that much closer to the ultimate level of success that can be had by a wrestler, world...champion. That tastes sweeter to me then any amount of payback could.
Ripley turns his eyes to the camera.
So MG...I hope you've strapped up those boots real tight. Tonight, I give you one more reason to hate Americans. And that reason is even if you beat us, you're still not better then us.
And yes. I am still better then you.
He closes with his sarcastic, toothy grin before leaving the area. Fabiola looks on as he does shaking her head in disbelief that Ripley didn't float away with how inflated his ego was.
