*”Impossible” by Manafest starts to play throughout the arena and Mark Spirals steps out to the stage, he is welcomed by cheers from the crowd, Mark enters the ring and grabs a microphone, he looks all round the arena with a smile before he addresses the eager crowd*

Hello, XWA faithful!

*The crowd cheers*

I know you all love the action that goes on in this company, but what I love is the ever-growing competition that this company brings. In this line of work you have to stay on your toes because you never know who might come your way and take you out of the equation, and in the XWA everyone you meet is capable of that task. Nobody here is weak and everybody here is very competent. Being at the top of your game isn’t encouraged, it’s required!

*The crowd cheers in agreement with Mark’s words*

With that being said, it became apparent that I wasn’t up to par with the rest of my opposition, so I took it upon myself to go to Japan and resume my training with my Master, Ryuken Hoshi. I didn’t get to stay as long as I hoped but I believe that in the short time I was there I approved enough to keep up with the surrounding talent.

*The crowd gives Mark a respectable applause, they can sense from Mark’s words that he really wants to be able to keep up with XWA’s rapidly increasing talent pool*

So now I stand here in this ring to issue an open challenge to anyone in the back! I want to test my abilities and I KNOW that there is someone back there who wants to do the same. It’ll be a great learning experience for us both.

*Mark lowers his microphone as he waits for his next opponent*

Be careful what you wish for, Spirals. You might just get it. As Spirals finished up. Gen's theme music begins to roar throughout the arena. Coming out dressed & ready to 'go to war'. He makes his way down the rampway. Welcomed to Ring Rage with a chorus of cheer's and boo's from the crowd. As it has always been accustomed to him over the last 5 1/2 years. Gen. was used to this type of environment. No matter what the crowd, or the wrestlers thought of him. He always delivered.

Tonight? Would be no different. For tonight, just as he had done in the last several months with Chris Dynamite. Doing what he can to push and elevate his game to the very next level. After overhearing Spirals' remarks. He felt he could do something special with him.

After all, being an 'Xtraordinaire' wasn't just a title or a trophy. It was something to be proud of. He knew from the day such a prestigious honor was bestowed upon him. He had a responsibility to keep. His main job was to keep up with his duties as a performer. But also, elevate the future stars of tomorrow.

Although his quest for championship gold was cut short last week. He didn't let it stand in his way of what he had to do. He knew in order to keep his head above water. In order to stay on top of his game. Despite the wins, or the losses that would accompany him. He'd have to continue striving to be the man.

So as he stepped into the ring with Mark Spirals. With the microphone already in hand. He was prepared to do battle with a future young star of this organization.

I bet you weren't expecting me, were you? Of allllllllllllll the talent backstage. I can tell just by the expression on your face. The moment my music hit. The last thing you expected was to see me come out here & accept this nice little 'invitation' of yours.

The real reason I'm out here, Mark. Is because I want to see if you TRULY have what it takes to make it in this company. Ascend to that next level. Perhaps even someday. Join the list of Xtraordinaires like myself, MG & Kayn.

Now, unlike the last guy I worked with. Chris Dynamite. He was quite the arrogant little cuss. A bit full of himself. Then again, weren't we all? I helped him get to our title shot last week. And even though things might not have worked as we planned. The real test was shown. He proved without a shadow of a doubt that he belonged in the ring with me, Kayn & Scott EPIC.

Spirals? I'm hoping for the same from you.

I'm not out here to spit in your face, and put you down. The 'old' Genesis might have done that years ago. Back when I was just like you. I was a bit 'green' under the collar. Most certainly young, and yes, even a bit of a brat.

Fast forward almost six years later?

I've grown up, changed my style and have become what you would call a 'seasoned veteran' of the squared circle . And... I've even gotten a whole lot MEANER!

You, on the other hand. I like what you stand for. You seem like you want to learn, and get better. Soooooooo. I'm here to help you. Now, I'm not going to just fight you tonight, roll over & die. No, No. Don't take my comments too lightly.

For you to beat me? You're gonna have to give me everything and anything you've got in that little body of yours! Just because I'm being 'nice' right now, and trying to up your spirits? Doesn't mean that when the bell rings. My intentions will remain the same.

I have every intention on beating you tonight, Spirals.

However, if you want to beat me? Your gonna have to pull out every trick you've got up your sleeve. I'm not one to go down without a big fight. Just ask Kayn & Scott EPIC. Between myself & Dynamite. We gave them a run for there money. We were this close.... THIS CLOSE to winning. Then one minor mistake on my part costed us the match.

Be that as it may? I took it all in stride. I accepted that I got knocked on my ass. But I quickly dusted myself off and vowed to live to fight another day.

So for you, Mark Spirals. I want you to keep that in mind tonight. Whether you win, or whether you lose? Never, ever give up!

*After having Genesis accept his challenge and absorbing his words and a hearing his intentions, Mark couldn’t help but allow a huge smile to spread across his face, Mark nods before he prepares to speak*

An Xtraordinaire. It’s an honor. You’re right. I wasn’t expecting you and I’m quite shocked that you, of all people, accepted my challenge. Now, I may not have been expecting you specifically but you fit my words from earlier down to a T. Genesis. You made a career of being “The man to beat”, and defeating you is an accomplishment to be recognized for certain.

*Mark takes a brief pause*

You said you want to see if I truly belong, well, that’s what this challenge is all about. I know XWA has an enormous roster filled with highly skilled athletes, I know this. This challenge is going to represent if Mark Spirals can honestly be associated with such high ranked competitors. I think I do but I just need to really test myself to make sure. Now that you’re here, I know that you’re the perfect man for the job.

I appreciate the words of encouragement and I respect the fact that you won’t hold anything back. That’s good to know, because I would consider it an insult if showed me anything than your absolute best. Nothing is more disrespectful to a competitor than an opponent who pulls their punches. I know what you’re capable of and I know that I’ll be in for a real fight…and I couldn’t hope for anything better. You worked hard for the title of “Xtraordinaire” and I couldn’t even consider claiming that title for myself if I can’t prove myself to you or anyone else for that matter.

I know you won’t hold back and I can sincerely tell you that my A game is the only one I offer. Wins and losses mean nothing to me, it’s the lessons you learn from them that’s important, that’s the real prize, the true treasure. I’m not worried about losing to you, Genesis; all I’m looking for in this match is a lesson, and I’ll take it in whatever form it comes in.

*Mark then smiles as he replies to Genesis’ last statement*

Oh, and about me giving up. Don’t worry Genesis, giving up is not in my nature. My only dream as a wrestler and as a man is to become the best that I can be, and if I gave up then that would mean my dream could never be reached, and I can’t have that now, can I?

*Mark smirks and the crowd cheers as they wait for Genesis to respond*

If you gave up, Mark. Then you'd be taking the low road. Or as I call it the 'easy way' out. Unfortunately? Too many people have taken that path. And.... believe it or not. Even I have traveled down that road a few times. But you know what I learned? Each, and every time I was approached with a problem. Or a task that I thought would be impossible to overcome? That only made me stronger. Both as a man, and a performer.

Bottom line, you can't run away from your problems. Face them head on, and never back down. Don't take the cowards way out and run for the hills. From what I can tell from your words. I'm already admiring what you stand for.

If your words are true as they are. Then you'll have no problem standing up to me, and fighting me until we can both go no further?

Cause you see. The best that you bring out to me. Only brings out the best in me. Therefore, what we do in this ring for these fans tonight. If you can give me everything you've got, and then some? These fans will walk home with a smile on there face. And a one helluva match to brag to there friends the next day at work or school.

Thing is, I now that some people. Want to see the 'old' Genesis. The man who would spit in the face of authority. Tell the world to go screw themselves, and yada, yada, yada. But I know if that side of me ever comes out again? Its only going to mean trouble. And knowing my mouth (laughs). Out of a job.

Even though this event features matches with high profile wrestlers and some with even higher stakes, we’ll make it our duty to make sure our “regular” match will be the match that anyone could ever talk about.

*Mark smiles as he gives his last statement*
