Ring Rage continues from Toronto, and the theme of the XWA's President begins to play. It's an unexpected and unscheduled appearance that catches all the announcers off guard, but when you're the owner of the company, you can be unexpected and unannounced. Standing on the stage with a mic in her hands, she prepares to make yet another big announcement. Ladies and gentlemen...the reason I stand out here tonight is to inform you all of a major decision that's been made just a few hours ago by myself. It began earlier this week when I received news that the now former GM of TakeDown, Mike Roach, was resigning.Buzz: Whoa...that...kinda sucks right there. There was some heartfelt reaction at that point that she gauged before continuing... Not to worry though. He will still have a place in the company behind the scenes. That however left TakeDown with a hole bigger than the ones the roster already has, in all honesty. Fortunately, I got phone call from a man who had expressed his interest in filling the position, almost on cue.
Based on the man's experience, I had no choice but to make him an offer. He's a former world champion, a veteran in this business known and respected worldwide equally for his wrestling ability and being a controversial figure. He's also a savvy businessman who has helmed his own promotion for years. Now, he's being given the keys to the TakeDown brand, and I'm more than positive that he will have a major role in making our flagship brand a powerhouse in sports and entertainment once again.
Ladies and gentlemen, it gives me great honor to welcome back to the XWA, your new General Manager of TakeDown...CHRIS LIONHEART!There was a roar in the crowd in response to this shocking and out of the blue acquisition. Carmella applauds as his theme plays and the GM takes center stage...

Lionheart comes onto the stage dressed sharply, and stands inbetween his pyro, basking in the moment. After a moments pause he continues on to the ring to greet Carmella, and grabs a microphone from a stage hand. Rolling up the cuffs of his sleeves slightly, he is looking more relaxed than he probably ever has to an XWA crowd. First of all, we're going to have to change that theme song, my Higher Brain Pattern disease went away quite a while ago.Lionheart smiles. "One Night Can Change Everything". I'd say looking at this scene here tonight is the finest example of that being true that I've ever seen. You know, I could come out here and go into all the details of why I've not been seen around these parts for a long time. I could do that, in truth I would probably do that if I were the old me. Maybe you'll all get lucky and I'll release a shoot interview once the boots are hung up for good. But it won't be tonight. For you see ladies and gents, like my higher brain pattern, a lot of things have come and gone. Some of the things which were true back when I was last seen in XWA aren't any more, and some of the feelings from back then aren't neccessarily true either. But don't worry I won't come out here, drag up the past, shoot, grandstand, or even name drop my fed TNB... ooops!Lionheart holds up his hands in mock appology, sharing a laugh with Carmella. Damn, sorry, it just slipped out. But the most important thing about tonight is not about me. It's about what I can do for each and every one of you. Because weather it's Atlanta, New York or even Ohio, the Chris Lionheart of today is here to help out this whole entire wrestling business, and I'm going to do it - and do it right! As far as this company goes, I'm not an active performer any more. So I'm not here to invade, steal spotlights... like I could from today's new generation anyway. Trust me when I say - I am here to help! I am going to do that in a variety of ways. I'm going to do things to please you fans some of the time. And other times I'm going to do things to improve this brand, and this company which might not neccessarily fly well with all of you.
I am a still part of the XWA Board of Directors, have been since day one of this place. I am now your new TakeDown General Manager. What's more for the first time ever... Carmella I just gotta hear you say it again because I've been waiting for this opportunity since 2006 the first time around... do I have complete control over TakeDown?

Well...She taps a finger to her chin. ...I wouldn't say "complete"...you do have me still around, so you never know when I might drop by to shake things up like I always do. But otherwise, the keys are yours and the ship is yours to steer in the right direction.
The problem with the Board of Directors sometimes...well...most of the time...is that their direction has been exactly that, theirs. I'm not going to name names, but some people have only been interested in "buy rates" and ratings. Makes me wonder why I even appointed them, but not you. Your concern has always been helping put forth the best wrestling action around, and that's what I'm trusting you to do, Chris.Carmella then grins as she shakes her finger to the new GM like a school teacher would to her class before she steps out of the room. But I'll be watching...

Lionheart laughs again before making a sweeping motion towards the backstage area...
First night on the scene and lets talk about fresh starts. I have seen a young man here on TakeDown whom appears to be in need of a fresh starting point. And there's one woman over on Overload that I wouldn't mind getting under my thumb so I push her to her limit to achieve my goal of getting the best out of her... I'm announcing my intent to trade Blade Meyers from TakeDown to Overload in exchange for... Kim Hunter!

Buzz: Wait...a man traded for...a woman? Does that sound right?
Goldman: Absolutely. Were you even paying attention to what the man said? Fresh starts, and I'd say it couldn't hurt for either of them. Besides, Blade is the former Pure Champion, and Kim Hunter is still one of the toughest women in the business, so I'd say each side is getting quality out of this trade.
Buzz: Goldman, you sound like a damn ESPN analyst sometimes. Well, it looks like you're already making some moves, aren't you? I like people who get to work quickly. I think I'll leave you to yours right about now.She waves a single arm toward him in a presentation-type manner. Takedown fans...Takedown roster...your new GM! Mr. Lionheart, the floor is yours. With that she shakes Lionheart's hand and heads backstage to leave Chris to address the public and the TD roster as he sees fit.

Lionheart laughs again before making a sweeping motion towards the backstage area...
One thing I've learned in this business, and I have the bad memories to prove it, is that it's all about communication. In the past there's been some serious, serious break downs in communication that have stopped me, and stopped me helping the companys I was working for, from being as good as they could possibly be. From this point forward on TakeDown it's a "new era" for communication and it's a new era for TakeDown itself. There was at one time the idea that Overload was the number one brand, and TakeDown was 'the rest'. Well I don't care about past relationships, or who's on a roll, past accomplishments... everybody has to earn their place on this brand. Because when I get my way, TakeDown is going to be the better brand!
Oh and uh... The last thing I wanted to say before I let everyone here enjoy the rest of their Pay Per View, is to all the guys and gals in the back. Don't think of me in a suit on the management team who dictates order and is unapproachable. I'm not wearing a suit right now, am I? My office door back there will always be open - to talk, to debate, to argue, whatever it is you wanna do. I never was one to be shy, was I? I don't even mind mind stopping and talking to somone in the hallway either. In fact, I'm gonna take a look around the arena tonight, and I hope I meet some new people as well as catch up with some old friends too. Thank you!
Lionheart takes a bow and begins to leave the ring...
