The truth behind the mask (Sushi-X)

[Romeo Davis]

It was a dominating performance that Romeo Davis and Brian Yang put on. The two simple man handled Sushi-X and Kyle Nobbs. The crowd begins to boo at the very sight of the two separating. Sushi-X lay motionless in the center of the ring. Romeo looks down at his former friend. What could possibly be going through his mind at the moment? He walks to the head of Sushi-X. He stares down at him for a few moments before bending down and attempting to remove the mask off Sushi-X’s head. The crowd begins to boo as Sushi-X struggles to keep his mask over his face. Romeo wouldn’t budge until Sushi-X got a lucky shot to Romeo’s face with his fist. He manages to push Romeo away from his with his mask still intact. Romeo wipes his face to make sure there is no blood before staring over at Sushi-X.

Travis: Did you see that? Did you see what Romeo tried to do? He tried to pull Sushi's mask off!

Antonio: I don't understand his behavior at all, Travis? What's he trying to prove here? He and Bryan won, they made their point!

Travis: Not in Romeo's eyes, I don't think.

Sushi-X had to make sure his face wasn't exposed. Clearly the Romeo Davis he'd been dealing with the last few months is very different from when they first met, or even before the season when the ninja offered Davis a place to stay. What caused his mind to be corrupted so quickly? Was it in pursuit of championship gold? Or something more? The No Limits champion wanted answers.

Hey! HEY! DAVIS! Get back here! You wanna be like that? Try and pull off my mask? Take what's most important to me? Is that how it is?

Travis: If it wasn't clear before that this is a different Romeo Davis, it certainly is now.

Antonio: That mask is everything to the No Limits champion. He... and he just tried to pull it off.

He awaited a response from Romeo.

Romeo only smiles before saying a few short words.

Most important part huh Sushi-X. We’ll see how important it is. I’ll see ya’ real soon bro.

After his short words Romeo exits the ring and proceeds up the ramp to the sound of the boos from all the fans in the arena. Everyone wanted to know the answer to what was going on but none of them we going to get it. He pushes aside the black curtain and disappears backstage.
