"Over" joyed (Vaughn)

Following the announcement made by Stan O'Malley at the top of the program regarding the qualifications for the last two slots in the Global Title Crucibal, Bryan Jasta ventures out into the arena in search of his partner for the night, a man who within the last year he had been embroiled in a bloody feud with, Osh Vaughn. He manages to catch up to Vaughn near one of the production trucks. As some of the crew spot Jasta's approach, they make haste in leaving the scene. Jasta stands face to face with Vaughn and speaks.

You and I are like oil and water. Let's be perfectly honest, we'd both rather watch one another get beaten to a bloody pulp rather then team up with each other. The same type of beatings we've given each other in the past. But a chance at the Global Title is at stake tonight. The winners of our match tonight get the last two slots in The Crucibal at Ring Rage, you heard what O'Malley said as well as I did. As far as I'm concerned, after tonight we can go right back to wanting to put each other in full body casts. But tonight, I need to know that you can put your ill will towards me on the back burner and focus on the task at hand, beating a pair of savages in that ring to take our places in the Overload main event. Punch and Toa just got finished beating each other within an inch of their lives at Vendetta. There's no way those two will be on the same page. But you and I are thinking man's competitors. There is no reason in hell why we should lose this match aside from you deciding you want to get some satisfaction in costing me a chance at the title. So what's it going to be, Vaughn. Your pride, or a chance to become champion?

Jasta waits for Vaughn's answer.

My "pride" as you say is the only thing stopping me from slugging you in the face right now. I've done this dance long enough to know that championship opportunities don't come often, so when a chance arises, you take it. Tonight, we've got a chance to take one step closer to being Global champion. Only thing standing in our way is a pair of guys who probably hate each other more then we hate each other. You don't have to worry about me stabbing you in the back during the match, Jasta. I want in on The Crucibal every bit as much as you do. Now after the match? I can't say I can be held accountable for my actions. But between when the opening bell is rung to when the ref counts 3, my focus is on getting the W and getting into The Crucibal at Ring Rage.

With a sly smirk on his face, Jasta responds.

Then I guess there's nothing left to do then what we've come here to do. See you in the ring.

Jasta walks off, leaving Vaughn behind to ponder if it was indeed going to be as simple as putting their heated past behind them for one night. In the balance, a chance at the XWA Global Title. Overload returns to ringside where the next match was soon to get underway.
