For the record, Lesnar did publicly apologize for his sponsor comments and the putting middle fingers up to the fans after Lesnar/Mir 2. He realized he was biting the hand that fed him on that one. He hasn't taken back a word he said about Mir though, and equally enough Mir hasn't taken anything back he said about Lesnar. That's natural...sometimes you have guys who just don't like each other, that's to be expected in an aggressive sport like MMA.
The important thing is that Lesnar learned (partially because White & Silva weren't happy about it) it's not how you say stuff in MMA, but what you say and who you say it to...and you see now that all he says is focused on fights. In that respect he's still learning as much as he's learning everything else; at this point you could call him the most successful WIP of all time, lol.
As for Velasquez, that was confirmed by Dana shortly after this fight on Yahoo, so Lesnar/Velasquez is a lock in another few months. Rumor has it that fight will be on a card that'll be the UFC's first even in Mexico (Mexico City to be exact), which is interesting cuz Cain's Mexican-American and has "BROWN PRIDE" emblazoned on his chest, lol. I'm not even gonna call that one.
And MMA is still banned in New York. For a city in budget troubles, NYC sure does love throwing money away, don't they?

Punch, I heard Mir's comments and I've heard god only knows how many other fighters make similar comments but they are always on those pre-fight shows or during press conferences......if Brock said it afterward fine whatever but saying it in the octagon right after the match, no class. Trust me, I don't care who would do it but I'd lose respect for any fighter who bad mouths someone directly after beating them in the octagon. Say it during your next pre-fight talk to people but right afterward, nope. Doesn't matter if its anyone from GSP to Frank Mir, if you bad mouth someone INSIDE the octagon after you beat em, you've lost my respect as a person you may have fighting skill but no respect otherwise.

Roy Nelson getting a title shot? Ewwww lol. I'm not too fond of him, but it should be a good fight between him and Dos Santos. There's also other contenders in the works. Just look what Matt Mitrione did to Kimbo He pretty much neutrolized him with leg kicks, and beat the hell outta him. lol As with the Mir vs. Lesnar fight last year, I watched that live as well. You guys have to admit that was funny as hell what Brock said afterwords...

You know what there's absolutely no point for me to try to defend my stance against Brock Lesnar in a group of people who clearly love the guy.
I'd never get any support so I'm done in this conversation, so try not to trash my opinions anymore..........do I ever trash anyone's opinions, no, I just said I don't respect Lesnar for things he's done. That was my opinion and people jumped down my throat for it, so I've had to defend it.

I just noticed people not understanding your opinion, and offering reasons as to why your opinion, in their opinion, is wrong. I agree that some may have been aggressive in their retorts, and so have you, so I think everyone arguing about it is at fault. Lesnar was a dick at one point, that's fine and dandy. Don't respect him, enjoy. You seem to respect his accomplishments fine, but not him as a person. That's cool by me. But as others have said, there have been worse things said by fighters about other fighters, I remember reading about stuff like that at least. As for me, I don't follow MMA. So I have no status in this conversation.

Somebody's obviously paid no attention to Brocks after match comments either after this fight. Guy's changed. Pwinsider.com had a good video of a backstage interview after the fight with him, and you'd actually see him humble... even if you may have thought his post match punching himself in the chin was pretty childish. Hell, I'd be pointing out that I took a barrage and won too if I was in that fight. I'd probably do a lot worse What can I say? I'm an asshole.

I was a cocky sum bitch after I won my first fight. I was even more cocky after I won my 2nd fight cuz I was fighting a self proclaimed submisson god, and I made the guy tap out about 30 seconds in the 2nd round via armbar. I got the crowd chanting "you tapped out" afterwords.
