A Late Night

Give me a beer.

*Nathan says, dropping some money on the bar after receiving his drink. Things have been kind of slow lately, but its to be expect during the lay over week after the Mayhem Pay Per View. Even though he didn’t have a match he did pay close attention to those holding titles, which is something that Nathan will eventually be going after when the opportunity presents itself. He takes his beer over to one of the leather couches, takes a seat and watches one of the fifa world cup games on the TV that is hanging from the wall.*

What do people see in this game…its half over before they even make it down the field….

-Sitting next to him, Manami looks up and replies.-

" Not really sure, soccer never really interested me to be honest. Seems like an exercise in futility to me. "

-Since coming to XWA Manami has started to come out of her shell bit by bit. On a whim, she decided to go to a local sports bar for a drink or two. The taste of regular beer was too bitter for her but she did like these Smirnoff fruit flavored 'malternitives'. Taking a sip of the Passion Fruit flavored drink, she looks over at the very muscular canadian.-

" Hey, I think I recognize you, Nathan Michaels right? "

*Nathan turns to see the women sitting next to him, she was indeed very attractive. He takes another drink of his beer, as he glances her up and down. He’s seen her before on XWA TV and now he just hopes he doesn’t screw up saying her name*

Manami Kuro…gochi?

*I think I said right, Nathan thinks to himself.*

[Vault]

-Nodding, she replies.-

" That's closer then a lot of people get on their first try. "

-Taking another drink, she laguhs and asks.-

" So what brings you here? Me I just decided to get out for a while and relax a little. "

I dunno, I guess I'm just trying to get away from all the hustle that comes with being a pro wrestler. I had forgotten just how much it of a mental toll it takes on your body. Besides, I needed a drink after being smashed through a table and being busted open the other night while I was trying to play poker.

*Nathan holds his hair up with his free hand, showing Manami the several stitches he received just along his hair line*

Somethings never change it seems. Backstabbing, cheating, using people, its all the same, every where you go. All that changes is the people you work with.

*Nathan pauses for a moment to take another drink, before relaxing deep into the coach*

But enough about work, what do you enjoy doing Manami?

" I'm into poetry and art actually, something my grandfather got me into. I also really enjoy movies, I have a soft spot for cheesy B-grade horror movies. "

-Taking another sip, she couldn't really believe she was opening up this much already to someone she just met.-

" How about you? does "Big Red' have any interesting hobbies? "

*Nathan smiles as he finishes off his beer, placing it on the table, once again leaning back, places his hands behind his head and thinks for a moment*

Well lets see, where do I start....after I was discharged from the RCMP I took up archery; since I can no longer hold a gun...brings up to many bad memories. So I have gotten good enough to pin point targets while riding my horse. It took alot of practice, but its not like I had much to do.

*Crap....Nathan was rambling*

What else; well like every canadian I enjoy hockey, best sport ever....and building a snowman in the winter...such fun...especially if you had a couple...though waking up in the snowbank isn't .
