The name of the game, Supremacy MMA. The gist of the game, MMA, uncut and uncensored. Think of the old school movies Bloodsport and Kickboxer, with a modern MMA flair to it. The game is being developed by Kung Fu Factory, who have a few games under it's best, but more notably but anonymously are responsible for all of the animations on UFC 2010. The game is only 25% done, and has no release date, but from the small showing they had at E3 of an early build, it showcased just a taste of what kind of brutality we can expect. As you'd guess, the game would have no affiliation with the UFC or Strikeforce, but sponsors like TapouT, Affliction and Sinister Brand could possibly get in on it. This also means there'd be no fighters signed to UFC or Strikeforce on the game, but when you think about it, the game's most likely going to be based on a fictional underground fighting ring. Real life fighters need not apply.
Personally, I'm kinda excited but iffy about it. I mean, if it's done right we could have a game that blows it's real life competition out of the water. But if it's done wrong, it could be the biggest bust in MMA video games, which up until last year they ALL where busts...lol. The single player campaign would naturally be a big part of the game, and seeing as it's all in fiction, this means a create fighter feature would naturally be in order, which I think we all can appreciate. Overall, I'm keeping my eyes on this one. It looks like it has potential, but at only 25% completion, it's way to early to say if it's going to be a contender. Still, the idea of a fighting game with bone cracking blood and gore that doesn't involve a ninja who shoots harpoons from his hands is pretty damn interesting.
