The challenge had been laid down by Dan Ripley. And, to Pryor, it looked as if he was walking into certain doom. Jon Pryor had been set up by Marshall Dane to face not only Dan Ripley unbeknownst to him... but also to the monster known as Vikram. Now, it wasn't all unfair to Jon Pryor, as an extermination effort... Dane was giving him the chance to find a partner to fight with him tonight. If he could find someone within the company that Jon used to spit at every chance he got a few years ago... and they surely haven't forgotten. Walking through the halls of the locker rooms, he clears his throat, cupping his hands around his mouth: "*Ahem*... Attention, XWA Locker Room... I am seeking a tag team partner for tonight. Come one, come all... team up with a four time World Champion as he does battle against his newest, bitter rival in tag team action. Step right up for the experience of a lifetime!"Which will probably work as well as it sounded stupid. "Here we go," he thinks, as his eyes centers on the first XWA Superstar that he sees...

"Yeah, yeah. They took the bait. Hook, line, and sinker. No, I know. It's to easy. Go out there....Say a few stupid worn out catchphrases...Strike a few poses as they click away out their little cameras. You know, make them feel important."
Blaze sits back in his locker room alone. Gloating over the phone about how he returned just as he had left off. The fans loving him, not knowing he could care less about them.
"Wrestle? Tonight? Eh, I don't know. Sounds like to much work. I've given the fans more than they deserve already. Why give them anymore?"
The conversation continues on in this manner for awhile before Jon's broadcast echoes throughout the halls. The familiar voice suddenly grasps his attention. He didn't know if anyone else were around to hear, but Blaze sure did.
"Hey, let me call ya' back man. Somethings....somethings come up."
He flips his phone shut, ending the call. Yes I said flip. He's been out of the business awhile and doesn't quite have the money to buy one of those fancy touch screen things.
"This, this could play in my favor...."
He whispers to himself as he exits the room. It doesn't take him long to track down the source. Standing there just waiting it seems...is Jon Pryor.
"Well, well, well.....If it isn't good ole' Jonny boy. Sounds like your in a bit of a predicament. Hm, you seem surprised to see me. I take it you didn't catch my little return speech earlier? Ah, not that it matters. Can't even find someone to help ya' out huh? Doesn't surprise me. You were always a fan favorite. But, at the cost of the locker room hating your guts. Quite personally, I would like to see you get your ass handed to you. You deserve it. Yet, I could use some action tonight. Hm, I might even be considering accepting your little request. If I find nothing better to do. I don't want you to think that I want to be all buddy buddy because I'm here thinking about helping you though. Fact is, teaming with you could help stake my claim here. But, at the cost of my reputation. I don't know if its worth that or not. So, why don't you make this worth while for me and tell me why I should help you.
A devilish smirk slowly begins to show on Blaze's face. [/center] OOC: Edited slightly after reading Storyline Central Thread.

"Ehm... The one guy that you have to get in the ring with isn't so big..." He said, shrugging his shoulders. He studied him for a second... the last time that Pryor was in the same company with Blaze, you know, that both were actually trying to be "the man" in... Things didn't turn out so well. Jon wasn't sure if he could trust him.
"Besides, I'm sure that you've got plenty of ring rust that you wouldn't mind getting knocked off of you in slobberknocker fashion.
You want to get into groove, you really just gotta get out there and get it done and over with. Although, I don't think that I should have to be explaining the benefits of fighting in a match to you when you're fresh on the scene... unless you've fallen off of a ladder too high lately."

Blaze shakes his head disappointedly. Releasing a sigh...
"Is that all you got Jonny boy? The guy I would have to face isn't that big? You know, the bigger they are the harder they fall and so fourth. So, thats not swaying me towards a decision that would be beneficial for you."
He wanted Jonny to beg. Though, he knew that would never happen. Still, imagining it in his head drew a smile across his face.
"As for the little ladder remark...Last time I remember falling off of one of those was in that little company ran by those angels. You know what I'm talking about. If I remember correctly....That match was against....You....and if memory serves me....I...I believe I won that one. Right?"
Not setting up the workings for a good team so far. Though, I doubt Blaze could really care less.
"Again, all the more reason you need me as a partner...And, all the more reason you need to convince me that its worth my time."

"Look... it either is,or it isn't. Sit on your ass back here for all that I care, Greg. Seems to me that you're willing to hand over anything and everything that you think should be yours and what you can earn, just as easily as you handed over your own daughter. What a damn waste of time that was..." He said with a smirk, referring once again to the match that Blaze brought up. "Or not. Y'know, I got to get my hands dirty with what my money was paying for at that time anyways. You're laziness when it counts is really a godsend, Blaze. keep it up.
Oh, and let me know if you change your mind." He pats him against the shoulder before moving on, seeing who else was back there to probably shrug him off...
"Tag Team sign up, riiiiiiiiiiiight here, that's right, team with Jon Pryor against certain doom..."
He continues on down the halls...

"Why that!"
Blaze turns to pursue Jon, but stops himself midway. The grin on his face instantly replaced by a look of disgust.
"No Blaze...Not now. He isn't worth it yet. Not tonight at least. No, we shall bide our time. Tonight was just to make our presence known. Takedown will be our stage for showing the true impact of your being here."
Trying to shake the encounter from his thoughts, he turns and heads back for his locker room.

"GO FUCK YOURSELF, N00B!"
Epic wasn't one to really care for Pryor himself. This was a man who didn't make himself in XWA, therefore he wasn't XWA-relevant. What he needed was to focus on Kayn...
But... it wasn't beneath him to tell him off in four words or less either. Epic continues his focus on taking down the first ever Xtraordinaire.
