So how long do you think it'll be before PETA loses their minds (whatever's left of em) on Rockstar for allowing you to kill animals, skin them, and leave their visible carcasses for the vultures.
Guesses anyone ??

Anyway, I was looking into picking up this game whenever my aunt was available to bring me to GameStop, is it worth it?

The game is amazing, its the best Western game I've ever played, think of it as GTA with horses and a much cooler story and in some cases characters.

Also, in terms of its typical Western frontier behaviour to do that.......ya that's true but PETA isn't big on historical accuracy when it comes to animals (case in point is the World at War attack dogs thing)

Guesses anyone ?? A lot of games let you "skin" animals. Look at WoW as an example. Peta is nothing more than bullshit. Just go look up Pen & Tellers Bullshit! series with the episode that is dedicated to Peta. You will really just how bullshit and hypocritical that organization is. |

I know their bullshit, I'm all for animal rights but I don't believe in PETA.
(Side note: when you "skin" animals in WoW, they turn into leather and are just left there or disappear I can't remember; in Red Dead, you dig your knife into them, blood shoots all over the screen, you take the hide and all thats left is literally a pink rotting corpse. HUGE difference between the two).

Just rented it today. Pretty wicked so far I must say. I made the mistake of going into multiplayer before even begining the game. Not knowing the buttons in multiplayer is not good. I got pwn'd =P

Oh come on. PETA isn't gonna say anything!  Spoiler below. Highlight to see (if you want to). After all, there is a stranger mission they'd just love that involves a man and a horse and their, ahem, relationship. It becomes available in Rathskeller Fork after completing the storyline mission: "Liars, Cheats and Other Proud Americans" |
