*XWA Overload returns from a commercial break*

*Lucy Black is looking lovely as usual as she stands with a smile on her face and a microphone in hand*

[Lucy Black:] Good evening ladies and gentleman. I’m Lucy Black and here with me is someone who is still relatively new to XWA and the Overload roster, my guest at this time, Mark Spirals.

*Mark Spirals steps into the picture as he is welcomed with a few cheers from the crowd*

[Lucy Black:] Welcome Mark, how are you?

I’m fine as I’ll ever be. Yourself?

[Lucy Black:] I’m just peachy. *Giggles* Okay, enough of the small talk and let us get to why I asked you here.

Sure thing, what’s on your mind?

[Lucy Black:] Well I’m just curious about your thoughts on the 2010 XWA Season and how you think you’ll measure up with the other combatants.

It’s too early for me to determine that, especially since I haven’t had a match yet.

[Lucy Black:] That leads to my next question. Who would you like to face during the Season?

*Mark places his chin between his right thumb and index finger like he was thinking*

Hmmm…well, that are plenty of competitors here that I would like to test myself against but if I had my choice of an opponent I would have to choose Evan Fate.

[Lucy Black:] Evan Fate? That’s a pretty big name around here.

Yes, I’m fully aware of that, trust me.

[Lucy Black:] Alright, then I have to ask, why?

Why not? Evan Fate is known to be one of the top Junior Heavyweights in our industry, and he went up and defeated some of the greats.

[Lucy Black:] And where you stand in all that?

That’s exactly what I want to know. Where I stand? Where I stand against one of the most respected competitors in this sport? I live out my career going up against the best challenges I can find, if I lose then that tells me that I need to improve and if I win then that tells me I need to improve because there is always room for improvement, make no mistake about it. All I want is to do is see if my training and encounters over the years I have been a professional in this craft has made me ready for this feat. There will no grudges held against whoever wins or losses, all I want to see Evan Fate is where I stand.

[Lucy Black:] Wow. That’s really admirable Mark. I don’t think Evan can let this request go unanswered, I won’t be surprised if he gives you a reply sooner rather than later.

Oh no, I hope the exact opposite. I don’t want a answer from Evan just yet, give me a while to hone my skills and become a better competitor. Once you see that I’m ready then give me a holler.

[Lucy Black:] So you don’t think you’re ready yet?

Not just yet, but give me a few months here and I will be.

[Lucy Black:] So I see you have a long term goal, but what about right now?

Right now…I develop and become the best that can be I suppose. I need to be-

*Before Mark can finish his statement somebody else steps into the picture*

To the scene steps the disgruntled Brian Yang, fresh off the heels of failing to secure a shot at the No Limits title in the "Battle Of The Future" Royal earlier in the night. He leers at Spirals momentarily before he speaks.

Evan Fate? Seriously? Y...you're joking right? You can't even believe any of that crap I just heard you say. Have you even been watching Overload the last YEAR? You've been watching something...but it sure as hell wasn't XWA. Because if you were, and if there was a brain in that thick, Gheri Curl covered dome of yours, the name you would have mentioned would be mines...Brain...Yang.

Since it's clear you've got no damn idea what the hell you're talking about, allow me to school you. Since your lil', or should I say not so little hiatus from the ring, I've all but solidified my status as being not just one of, but the BEST Junior Heavyweight on the planet. I held the No Limits title for 15 months. I defeated every competitor XWA could throw at me, including the dude you just spent the last few minutes kissing the ass of. Hell, it took our GM meddling in my affairs and giving that undeserving masked piece of crap Sushi-X two, count 'em TWO tries to take the No Limits Title off me. And for putting the division on my back and carrying it for a year and a half, what do I get in return from the GM? Stuck in a match where I have to earn another shot at it tonight. As far as I'm concerned, I'm still No Limits champ. I beat fire and flame out of Sushi-X. There should have never been a 2nd match, but leave it to Stan O'Malley being a pitty peddler for the most undeserving piece of garbage in the sport being a champion.

He pauses briefly.

Well...2nd most undeserving piece of garbage. Right behind you. You don't have the right to come back and decide who you want to face. Who the hell are you? A guy who's wrestled what...3 times in the last 3 years? PUUUHLEASE!!! You picked the wrong night to decide to show your face. The best Junior Heavyweight one the planet is standing right in front of you, and he's telling you that at the next Overload, he's welcoming you back to XWA by way of kicking you in the face so hard, you'll be crappin' teeth for a week.

[MindTrick]

"Woah woah woah... I'm sensing a bit of hostility in this sector!"

*And following the voice comes the happy smirk of Kyle Nobbs, fresh off a loss to Romeo Davis in his hard-fought, first match in approximately three years. It doesn't seem to have phased him much, and his general idea of the match he had was just what he wanted to portray in the first place: match of the night. And while others might not agree, that was firmly implanted into his mind.*

"Now chill out for a second, Yang. There's no need to start threatening people over someone's dream match. Hell, would you wanna kick MY teeth in if I said I wanted to tussle with my old buddy Dru Nedermeyer? That doesn't make very much sense, does it? And while no doubt you've been impressive, there's no need to get on some kind of high horse and prance about like you're better than everyone. Because - and I hate to be the one to tell you this - if you're sitting on a Clydesdale, and you shit out your mouth like you just were, chances are that horse is gonna get pissed off and buck you off, buddy."

*Nobbs pauses for a moment to acknowledge Spirals.*

"Hey man, not trying to fight your battles for you. I was just walking around, you know... And I heard some spiel about 'crapping teeth', so I thought someone was talking about my grandpa for a second. Sadly, that's not the case, but I might have an interesting story to tell later on now that my memory's been jogged...

Anyway, it seems to me that a confrontation out of nowhere is erupting right before me. Two men that may or may not have met in the past are about to go at it tooth and nail! A battle for the ages! Mark Spirals vs. Brian Yang! And while I totally could stay out of it, and watch the epicness unfold, I'd much rather get in on it. Anyone up for a triple threat?"

*Mark looks over at Brian Yang and Kyle Nobbs, he couldn’t help but smile before he gives his response*

Brian Yang…you’re quite the character. I don’t know whether if it is because you like to hear yourself talk or it’s because you are a raging douche. Whatever the case is you really need to reassess your personality, I’ve only known you for about 3 minutes and I can already tell you’re conceited, selfish and a bit annoying. There is no doubting your accomplishments here; no one can take that away from you because you earned them. As for the General Manager “meddling” into your business I think that was all self-inflicted if you ask me. It wasn’t Mr. O’Malley’s fault you lost your title; it was your negative attitude that did the deed. You are a great competitor but a mindset like that can do nothing for you but set you back which is probably why you didn’t win in your last match.

*Mark then moves from Brian to Kyle*

And as for your offer Kyle, I accept but I can’t speak for “the great” Brian Yang over here. He may be to big of a star to be bothered with us.

*Mark smirks as he waits for a reply for either combatant*

Yang gives a cocky smirk before he responds to the comments of Spirals and Nobbs.

*Heh* Part of me being the best pound for pound wrestler in the world...is not having to sweat when a pair of nobodies like you wanna pick fights. Because 9 out of 10 times it's a fight I always win. All a Triple Threat match means to me is multiplying the chance to prove how that much better I am compared to you two glorified jobbers times 2. I WILL be No Limits champ again, sooner rather then later. And I'll do so by beating everyone in the division...again. May as well start from the bottom of the heap and work my way up, eh? *Heh heh heh*

He shoots a menacing gaze to both men.

As much as I'd like to stay here and shoot the breeze with you losers, you've shared in my spotlight long enough. Come ready to fight fellas, but be prepared to lose...and lose big you will.

Yang then leaves the scene with a satisfied smirk on his face.

[MindTrick]

*Kyle lets Yang walk away without incident, but can't resist one more comment at the former No Limits Champ.*

"Humph! The guy's trying to talk like Yoda now! Someone's got some issues, eh?"

*Turning to Spirals now, he nods once and starts talking again.*

"Look holmes, I don't know you. I don't have to. All I know is, we have the makings of a great match here. You look like you've got some sort of potential, and you sound like you've got heart. I like that. And I expect the best you can give at the next Overload."

*Kyle extends his closed hand for a fist-bump.*

"Win or lose, man, give it your all. Leave it all out there. When the dust settles and the sky clears, we'll see who the better man of the night is."

*Mark smiles and nods after hearing Kyle's words*

What more can you ask for, right?

*Mark bumps fists with Kyle while knowing he is in for quite a ride for this season*
