Following a match, Overload heads backstage were Lucy Black stands in the interview area.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to welcome at this time, former XWA World Champion, 2007 New Sensation and 2009 Bad Mofo award winner, "The Big Ticket" Ethan Bain.

Bain steps into the frame, and the crowd gives him a thunderous cheer. Towering over Lucy, Bain gives her a nod, resting his hands on his waist.

Ethan, it's been months since you appeared on Overload. In fact, there were rumors swirling around last year that you were going to be "traded" to Takedown for none other the Syrus The Entertainer, who spent the last month of the season here on Overload. Care to shed some light on what happened?

It's real simple. The higher ups decided that with the status of XWA as it was, making such a move wasn't needed. It was a move that was supposed to shake things up on both shows, but a lot happened during the last months of 2009. Enough that made the B.O.D. decide the trade wasn't needed. So Ethan Bain is back home, and bet your ass I've got some business to take care of.

I can't imagine there's a lot of Overload Superstars who'd be to thrilled with the idea that you're still on the roster. Last year, you pretty much ran roughshot on everyone you faced. From Lionel Xander, to the Troys Kastor & Pollox, to your long standing rival Toa.

And there's more of the same comin' this year. Me and Jimmy made an oath that while one of us is champ, the other one won't come for his title. That's about the only reason I'm not Global Champ right now. But you can guaran-damn-tee that as soon as Jimmy's not champ anymore, that I'm comin' for it. Ya' see, I'm one of the few people on roster, Overload or Takedown, who can say he's beaten the best of the best. From Syrus, To O'Dell, To the Troys, to Kayn, and countless others. The Body Count speaks for itself. There's a lot of chumps runnin' around sayin' they're the most dominant guy in XWA. My record, and the list of guys I've beaten over my career tell a different story. Take that EPIC dude over on Takedown. Runnin' around callin' himself the Xtraordinary Xtraordinare Xterminator or whatever. Big friggin' whoop. I've already beat all three of XWA's male Xtraordinares. Kayn and Keith Wyle I beat at ONESHOT to become World Champ back in 2008, and I put MG's lights out at durin' my time on Takedown. Only a chump who needs to hype himself claims to be the #1 guy. I don't. I just go out to the ring, beat the other guys ass and call it a night.

Tonight, we've seen a lot happen. The shape of Overload's 2010 season is taking form right off the bat. What do you intend on bringing to the dance?

Before Bain could continue, he and Lucy are joined by another Overload talent.

The man in question was the brash, young Scotsman Wesley Addis. Originally signed to Takedown in 2009, he now found himself shifted to Overload. Seeing a ripe opportunity, he cuts into Bain's interview time. Standing across from the Texan giant, he eyes him up and down before speaking his expectantly brash statement.

Just goes ta' show you just how bahd everyone on your lit'le body cownt rolly' is. What I see stahndin' 'ere isn't XWA's most dominant superstar, it's a brute who relies souly on brute force. 'Tis real easy ta' bowl through everyone ya' face when ya' overwhelm them with noothin' but animalistic strength. But if I recall, there's one guy ya' faced who ya' didn't beat. Magnus Von Schwartz. And why didn't ye' beat 'im? Because he out wrestled you. A wrestler will beat a brawler every time. A wrestler will wait for a brawler to make the one mistake that's needs to capitalize, and do so with precision. Just like he did, and just like ah' plan to...tonight.

Surprise befalls the face of Lucy as she holds the mic.

I'm not intimidated by you, Bain. You might be as you Americans say "Badass", but back home in Scotland, you'd be what we call feathercap. Just a guy who goes around from pub ta' pub, pickin' fights with guys he knows has no chance against him, puttin' feathers in 'is cap he dutna' deserve. Well, you're gunna 'ave ta' earn me' feather, Bain. And don't think for a second that I plan on makin' it even a we bit easy for ya'.

Confident in his challenge to Bain, Addis awaits his response.

Without even a moments hesitation, Bain responds to the challenge of the newcomer.

You know somethin'? I have to give you some credit. You've gotta have a pretty big set to come out here and challenge me of all people to a match. And you're damn right about how I a role. What I bring to the table is the PAIN, plain and simple. Von Schwartz? He caught me on an off night, just like anyone else can get caught on an off night. Did he out wrestle me? Hell yea. But that sure as hell doesn't make him better. Just means he was better then me that night. As far as you go? *Heh* Last thing I'm tryin' to do is take your feather, chump. I'll just settle for beatin' your ass. You just barked up the wrong tree, buddy boy.

Addis gives Bain a condescending smirk before he responds.

No. I think I just barked up exactly the tree I was lookin' for. Von Schwartz was better then you on that night, eh? Well, I guess I'll just 'ave ta' show ya' that I'm better then ya', period.

He turns his smirk towards Lucy, then looks Bain up and down a final time before leaving the interview area.

Bain watches as Addis walks away with a scowl on his face. The ring side announcers way in on what just happened.

Travis: What a way to make your 1st official appearance in XWA. Coming out and challenging Ethan Bain of all people. Addis has got nothing up upside. One of the most talented youngsters I've seen in some time, but you have to question his logic a bit. I mean...that's ETHAN BAIN for god's sakes!

Tony: Addis is definitely not short on confidence, but we're going to see what he has in the fortitude department tonight when he makes his in ring debut against The Big Ticket. Man, I can't wait to see how this one unfolds.

Overload then goes to commercial.
