Slamming down into the mat on the receiving end of Chanelle's hangman's neckbreaker, Manami stares up at the lights of the arena trying to collect herself. She had taken bumps like this before but this felt different somehow. Under the ropes of the ring, she goes through the regimen of trying to see of she had in fact suffered a broken neck. Trying to wiggle her fingers and toes, Manami is shaken deeply when she can seem to feel them responding. This was something only a few wrestlers experienced but those who had would freely tell you it's terrifying, probably the single most dreaded feeling a wrestler can have in their career. The feeling that it might all be over and you are wheelchair bound for the rest of your life. -
- Trying to remain calm, she tries to pull herself together. Hearing the ref come close, she hears in a whisper. -
" What's wrong Manami? You should be back in the locker room by now. "
-Gulping, she could feel her voice shaking, and the start of tears forming in her eyes. -
" I--can't feel my arms or legs at all..."
-Using the ear piece radio, the ref signals to the back to bring out an EMT crew as Manami feels the dread start to build. Her career could easily be over right now. Reacting quickly, the EMT crew comes down to the ring stretcher and gurney in tow. Of course quite interested now, the crowd watches as Manami is loaded onto said gurney and wheeled to the back. -
-Of course by now she was very emotional as she was struggling to hold back the tears that were growing in her eyes. It had been so long since she shed a tear she didn't think it was possible for her to do so any more.-
-Passing through the black curtains on the side of the stage, she uses her eyes to glance for any familiar face she could find, but saw only one.-
