[Syrus The Entertainer]

The first TakeDown of 2010 was on the air and backstage Fabiola had a special guest.

Fab: My guest at this time, the #1 contender for the Undisputed XWA Championship, Syrus The Entertainer!

Hey Fab...wassuuuuuup!?

Fab: Well, first off congratulations on the win at UNION. For a few moments it looked like you weren't going to win it, but you did.

Well my lovely Latina friend, there's a lil sumthin' called "intestinal fortitude" that comes into play in situations like that. You gotta fight through the pain to survive the game, and oh yeah I was feeling that pain fa sho! But I stuck it out, and now...it's me and Tryton at Madness, mano y mano.

Fab: About that, well...it's a pretty big match up because you're the last XWA Champion before Tryton won it. In fact, he won the belt at Ring Rage, which was the last match you were champion, so do you think there's some closure that'll happen here?

That's a good question. You know, I got nothing but respect for Tommy Boy, he's a damn good wrestler and a damn good champion, but the records will show that he didn't beat the defending champion to win that title. Yeah, Madness will sow that up nice and tight...the former champ versus the current champ. THEN we'll be talking about an undisputed champion when that's all said and done baby.

Fab: Someone else had something to say about the Undisputed status of the belt though, Robby Sylk that is...

Yeah, I heard him...and Pendelton too, talking about they're the men who run the show. What was it they said, the straw that stirs the drink and the coaster hold the glass? That's some slick stuff there Sylkie...but if you ask these fans out there who's the REAL show stopper, half of them would probably say Tryton, cuz he's a proven competitor and a hard working dude, but not as hard working as the man the other half would say...being the hardest workin' man in wrestling today, super-rockin', show-stoppin', purple pimpin' Syrus...The...En-tah-tay-naaaaaaaah!!!

Guys like them though can't stand the attention not being all on them though, so they decided to challenge Tryton and yours truly to a tag match tonight. Well I say this, brothas...if Tommy's down with it, then so am I! We can get in the ring and do the damn thing too-nite!!!

The fans were happy with that. You could hear them cheering from backstage.

Ain't the typical tune-up match, but what the hell? I'm about to get my swerve on, baby! Sylk, JP...tonight watch as we dance all over your face with style and grace!

Syrus was pretty confident that Tryton was game for this match too, but then suddenly things took a different turn.

[MG]

Outta nowhere Syrus is taken down by none other then MG with a Superkick. MG picks him up again then shoulder thrusts him into the wall and constantly thrusts Syrus in the ribs over and over again. He lets Syrus fall down a little before kneeing him in the gut. Syrus then falls on his knees. MG then backs up and big boots him in the face. Fabiola scared a little stands up in MG face. MG turns his face viciously into hers.

Fab: What's the meaning of this!? '

Shut the f*** up.

Fab tries to slap him but he pushes her back and grabs the mic from her at the same time.

MG bends down on his knees next to the clutched Syrus. He waves to the camera to get low. He looks into the camera

Yo. I have a feeling ya wanna know what's the meaning of me beating his ass. Remember last Sunday when we was at the Union? Kayn gave me those power bombs and what was Syrus uncle tom ass was doing?

Fans boos...

Yo this fur ball just watch me get pinned. If we was about unity we would have been the only brothers in the ring. Since he messed up now I'm on a uncle tom killing spree. If you a foreigner and ain't down with me then you ah uncle tom. *Looks to Syrus* You hear me! *He looks to the camera* I think he did.

MG gets up and walks off with the fans booing intensively. The camera fades off.

[Jeremy Pendelton III]

(Takes place after MG's attack, response awaiting by Tryton)

TakeDown returns from a commercial break, and immediately replays what just happened backstage as Mike Goldman explains in a somewhat disgusted voice.

Goldman: Ladies and gentlemen, before the break we just witnessed this heinous blindside attack orchestrated by the newest Xtraordinaire MG on the #1 contender Syrus The Entertainer. Shocking and reprehensible is what it is, as is the comments he made afterward.

Buzz: Yeah, that dude's got no kind of respect...

First, we return back to the live feed as cameras continue to roll backstage as the medics tend to Syrus.

Goldman: Back live now, and you see the EMT helping Syrus...it looks like he might have some kind of injury to his midsection. I don't know how this is gonna play into his match against Tommy Tryton, but we'll keep you informed of anything that develops regarding this.

Then, it heads back to ringside where the new theme of Jeremy Pendelton called "Individual" begins to play. Out he walks from backstage, looking particularly smug for some reason with a curious looking vanilla folder in his hand. He steps into the ring with a mic in his other hand.

Buzz: Speak of the devil, here comes one of the guys who had the audacity to challenge the champ & #1 contender to a tag match tonight. I guess that's questionable too...

Sad. So sad what we just witnessed back there, isn't it? I suppose we really can't all just get along, now can we? (laughs) Syrus, if you're listening to this I hope you get better, I really, really do. I know someone else who'll probably hope you're not to banged up tonight as well, and that's our illustrious World Champion Tommy Tryton. Want to know why Tommy?

He raises the envelope to the air and continues...

What I have in my hands right now is an iron-clad, signed and sealed contract for tonight that confirms that Robby Sylk and I will have our tag team match against the team of Syrus & Tryton...with no chance of postponement!

Goldman: What? Who the hell would do such a thing?

As provided by the newly appointed Administrative Director Marshall Dane, who I must say I'm beginning to like already...this match will happen, injured #1 contender or not. What that means Tryton is that if Syrus can't muster enough "intestinal fortitude" to wrestle tonight, then you will be basically in a 2-on-1 handicap match, because the contract ALSO reads that Syrus can only be your partner...no replacements are aloud!

The fans were livid. The booing in the arena was near deafening.

So Tommy, if YOUR listening...I suggest you go and see if your partner's alright, and beg him to join you later tonight, otherwise you're going to be in a world of hurt.

Jeremy grinned confidently. It would seem though that he wouldn't need to wait any longer for a reaction from the champ though, as Tryton's theme rose up, and the fans explode for his arrival...

Out from the backstage area steps the undisputed XWA World Champion, fresh off of successfully unifying the GrandSlam and World titles versus Kris Cade just a week prior. BUt it was apparent he wasn't going to get the chance to enjoy his triumph, as the deck had been steadily stacked against him and the man he'd face for the title next Syrus The Entertainer all night. With mic in hand, Tommy wastes no time speak his response to tonight's events.

Yanno somethin', Pendleton? I liked you better when you were running by yourself. Sure you were still a pompous, arrogant prick. But at least you had some dignity. Ever since you hooked up with that sequin clad weasel Robby Sylk, you've become equally as much of sleezebag as him. And that's sayin' somethin' since Sylk's been around the block...figuratively and literally...for a loooooooooooooooong time.

The fans cheer at Tommy's mini dig at Robby Sylk. He nods in acknowledgment.

I can't tell which I hate more. The idea that you and Sylk have branded yourselves the posterboys of Takedown, or that ass clown MG taking affirmative action is a totally wrong direction. Syrus did what any of us would have done last week. When it comes down to a shot at the World Title, there's no such thing as unity. It could have been my brother on the business end of The Final Nail and I would have stood by and watched Kayn pin him, think of what I was gonna hit him with once the 3 count was done. And thanks to MG being the sore loser he is, Syrus is backstage gettin' his ribs taped up. When he won the match last week, I stood up and applauded. Why? Because it was gonna be the 1st time in a long time that the XWA World Title was gonna be contested for gainst two men who didn't want to kill each other. And I respect Syrus The Entertainer's abilities in that ring. I was looking forward to facing him one on one. But thanks to that trench coat wearin' tool MG, there's no way he's gonna be 100% for our match, let alone tonight's Tag Team match.

But...don't think that's gonna stop him, folks.

Tommy pauses yet again.

I made my way over to the Med Station personally after MG ambushed him, and he told me from his lips to my ears that there was no way he was backing down tonight, OR out of our match at Madness. That ladies and gents, is some that MG, Robby Sylk, or you Mr. Pendleton will never, ever be. A trooper. So you can take that lil' vanilla folder of yours and cram it where the son don't shine, Pendleton. You and your new sandbox buddy aren't gonna get the satisfaction of a 2 on 1 match tonight. I don't know Syrus very well personally, but I know what kind of man he is. And that's the kind of man who doesn't make excuses for himself. He comes out and does what he does best, win or lose. That's the kind of man I love to go one on one against, and definitely the kind of man I want backin' me up in a fight. The match is still on folks. And all MG's lil' ambush and you and Robby's choice words managed to do is make us that much more intent to put our collective "foot" up your collective "ass".

Lowering his mic, the fans react with a rawkus cheer. Despite the nights treachery perpetrated by MG, Tommy and STE where still intent on meeting the challenge of Pendleton and Sylk.
