Just when you thought that things were going to swing in one direction, the woman who does "whatever it takes" to win starts off the 2010 season by proving just that once again.
Goldman: And Okami nails that martial arts combo once again!
Buzz: She caught Channelle clean with that kick, she's gonna win it...wait...
Goldman: No! Channelle just rolled her up out of nowhere, what the hell just happened!? The ref counts...1-2-
Buzz: Are you kidding me!?
Matt: 3!!! Channelle just won, Channelle just stole the #1 contendership right from under Okami's grasp! She played possum and snuck a pinfall. It's all over...Channelle's going on to Madness now to face Jamie Fury!
As the announcer echoed the official decision, there wasn't a single person in the arena who was happy with what just happened...except for Channelle of course. She demanded the ref to raise her victorious hand, just to spite and incite the crowd even further. The grin on her face showed her total satisfaction, as did the smirk that followed as she made a little "cry baby" expression to the fans.
Buzz: What a way to start this season off. That woman's got to be the crux of evil...
Goldman: Well, all four ladies fought hard tonight. You can expect nothing less from the XWA Diamonds, but in the end it's Channelle who gets the first crack at the Diamond Champion in 2010, and if what we just saw is any indication of things to come, Jamie Fury had better be ready for anything.
Not but a few moments after making her triumphant walk up the aisle backstage did Fabiola meet up with the new #1 contender.
Fab: Well, by hook or crook Channelle...you just won the #1 Contendership for the Diamond Title. It'll be you and Jamie Fury for the third time at Madness...
And the third time's going to be the charm! I can hear all of you little people out there saying it. "There's no way Channelle can beat Jamie Fury." All I hear is about how strong she is, how fast she is, how dominant she is. Well, out there tonight I showed the world that there's one muscle that it stronger than any that you can work out in a gym.
She tapped her temple a few times and grinned again.
And I've always been the thinking woman's wrestler. People should already know by now that I'll never try to outgun anyone...it's so much more rewarding to outsmart them. Jamie, I wouldn't be so confident if I were you, because just like poor Okami had to find out, if you let your guard down for a second...SNAP!!! You'll have your shoulders on the mat, and the true "queen" of the XWA will be atop her throne yet again. You better be ready darling, I know I am.
Channelle chuckles ever so slightly as she walked off into the distance now. Her sinister mind was already thinking up some tricks for the "Steel Diamond".
