Bio:
One of, if not the biggest name in wrestling in his home country Japan, Mihashi in his 6 years as a pro has attained a following akin to a rockstar in Japan, Australia and New Zealand. His skill was forged in the famed Otomo Dojo, where trained from his humble beginnings and remains a devout student to this day. A man of unparalleled skill for his age of 28, Mihashi has yet to even come into his prime and has already enjoyed worldwide acclaim in the sport. The mere mention of his name evokes pride and respect from all who have met him in and out of the ring.
His career began in the Japan based Excite Pro Wrestling, where he competed in his early 20s as a Junior Heavyweight on the undercard until he was moved up to the main roster at 22. Within a year of competition, his star was already on the rise and the promoters wanted to cash in on it, thrusting him into the race for the company's Continental Title. It would take another year for him to reach the goal, but he soon became the youngest champion in the company's history in securing the title. No less then three months later, the World Title was vacated, and a number of EPWs top talents began vying for it, including Mihashi. In the end, Mihashi would do what many expected him to do, become a dual champion in EPW.
At 25, Mihashi while still under contract with EPW, signed to compete in New Zealand based Warrior Elite Wrestling tentatively while not booked to appear in EPW. It was a move that rose his stock in the industry further, as he wowed the New Zealand and Australian fans with his skill, courage and determination to win. Within a year, he would hold the WEW Light Heavyweight Championship as well as the two titles he still held in EPW, making him on of the most decorated young stars in wrestling. Even earning the approval of the legendary Antonio Inoki. Mihashi soon found himself as the face of Puro, and the prodigal son of Okinawa. But being the fierce competitor he is, he wasn't content on resting on that success. His sights were firmly set on the WEW Warriors Championship. And in late 2008, following his win of the Elite Grand Prix, he would win the title in grand fashion in front of a jam packed Tokyodome audience.
Now holding 4 major titles within two promotions, Mihashi's followers hinted that perhaps it was time for him to prove his mettle in the west. An idea that wasn't initially warm to, sighting that American wrestling was in his words "Show, not sport". But that all changed when he learned of the XWA. A company that's focus was the showcase of in ring talent, and home to some of the best wrestlers, not sports entertainers...in the world. Seeing the potential that the XWA brought, Mihashi made a bold choice in choosing it as where he would make his long awaited western debut. EPW and WEW were in complete agreement with the move, as having Mihashi compete in XWA, one of the largest wrestling organizations in the world, would gain them worldwide exposure as well. So a deal was worked out allowing Mihashi to compete actively in XWA, while still being able to be booked for EPW and WEW's major events.
With the ink dried and the deal done, Mihashi and his entourage relocated to Los Angeles and the famed Fierhouse Gym, where he could get acclimated to the American style of wrestling, and prepare for the upcoming 2010 season.
