Bio:
One of the up and coming talents of XWA, Milo Miller is the latest superstar to bridge the gap between wrestling and martial arts. While Strong Style wrestling is the staple of Japan, it's still a new style rarely used to full effectiveness in the US. A fact that Milo takes full advantage of. Often times being quoted saying "My feet aren't just educated, they have Ph.D's", Milo's already impressive martial arts acumen was cultivated as a Mixed Martial Artist briefly before turning his full focus to pro wrestling. A staple in the indy circuit of the midwest for the last 3 years, it was a chance pass through of Ohio that changed Milo's fortunes for the better.
One of Milo's travel mates spoke of the then newly founded Monster's Den Combat Sports gym in Akron, owned and run by Dru Nedermeyer. Not to soon later, Milo would come to find out on of his old mentors from a previous company Cody Black was a trainer there as well. Milo decided that if there was ever a better place to learn, under two bonafide future hall of famers would be that place. For the better part of 2009, Milo traveled between Ohio, Minnesota and Michigan, training and competing. Eventually, he landed a try out for XWA, which was met with resounding success. Months after the 2009 season officially started, Milo was sign to XWA's Takedown brand, where he immediately found himself in the bad graces of the 2009 New Sensation winner, Dan Ripley.
Ripley saw fit to bask Miller and man similar to Miller about making this business their "passion" whereas Ripley claims it's something he does to pass the time. Milo and fellow Monster's Den grad John Irons took offense to that, and it sparked a feud that lasted several months. While Ripley holds the overall edge in matches against him, the issue is still far from done, as did Milo's continued rise in popularity with fans.
