Bio:
When Jayson Jones wandered into the famed School Of Hardkore back in the mid 2000s, no one would have ever expected him to have made as huge an impact on pro wrestling as he has. Son of a New York underground fighting Kingpin, and an accomplished street fighter himself, Jones...then 26 saw that following in his father's footsteps would lead him either in jail or in a pine box. So after breaking away from his father's crew, he decided if he was going to stay in the fight game, he was going to do it legitimately. It was from one of his old rivals that he learned that New York street fighting legend Vincent Fate aka Riot had opened a small gym on the southside of Queens, New York. Jones went to train under him, and the rest is history.
In the 6 years that he's been in pro wrestling, Jones is already one of it's more decorated, and controversial superstars. But even so, he's held championships in every company he's been under the employ of, showing that with all of his talk out of the ring, he can more then back it up in the ring. Jones' road to success hasn't been as glamorous as some of his "brothers", but he's without a doubt one of the most recognizable names in the business. In the time between LXW and his arrival to XWA following the TNB merger, Jones spent a year in Thailand, adding Muay Thai to his arsenal of attacks, which made him an even dangerous striker then he already was. Upon entering XWA, he almost immediately found himself called out by arguably the biggest name in XWA, Scott O'Dell. The rivalry between the two men stems directly from O'Dell's long standing and bitter rivalry with one of Jones' closest friends Ryan Fierhart. The two men have now faced off off 6 times in their careers, with Jones taking 4 out of the 6 encounters, including back to back wins against O'Dell at XGames 2 and 3.
2010 sees Jayson Jones return to XWA eager to compete against any and all comers. Now in the best shape of his career, and with no further distractions from his personal life to throw him off his game, Jones sets his sights on something he's yet to attain in XWA, championship gold.
