Bio:
Sonya was recruited in 2008 by Sarah Warfield as part of a new talent initiative in the Diamond Division, and remains one of the standouts in that class of newcomers. With every match, she's gotten better and better, and heading into the 2010 season there's no doubt in anyone's mind that this just may be her year to break out like never before.
Sonya is a black belt in Karate and doesn't hesitate to exploit it in the ring. She's regarded as one of the best strikers in the Diamond Division, a claim that anyone who's felt her lethal kicks can agree with. Her hard hitting style and scrappy mentality has earned her a backstage nickname of "Pitbull".
The tail end of the 2009 season is what Sonya believes is only the beginning of her rise to the coveted Diamond Championship, as she all but thrusted her own way into the status of a legitimate title contender. Now it's a matter of sealing the deal, the ultimate of challenges that like all others that come her way in the new season she will face the only way she knows how, head on and guns blazing.
