Damn Dog!

So... I got me a beagle puppy a couple of weeks ago. Named Ozzy even (It's gonna be Ozzy Dangerous, Secret Agent on his AKC papers thanks to Fox's stewpid Human Target show )...

Anyways, today I take him to his vet for his checkup, get his weight, get him treated for ear mites. Not even four hours later, as I'm leaving for work, I go out into the theatre room of the trailer and see my roommate there with my dog on his lap, other roommates dachsund laying next to him, and his bulldog/bloodhound mix on the other end of the couch. I leave, shut the door, I hear dogs barking, then my phone goes nuts. Roommate's calling me. My dog jumped off the couch and hurt himself. I figure... shit. Go in there, feel around on his leg, he's not crying anymore, just not putting any weight on it. I told him to make sure he stays off of it, and I'm gonna find out what to do with a sprain like I think he has and take care of it after I get off of work.

The dog cried nonstop until he called my g/f to say that he needs to get to the vet. They take him there...

Hairline fracture. Ten days in a splint, and a $186 bill AFTER his $56 checkup bill that he had earlier in the morning.

Damn dog's lucky I love him.

I just got a pug puppy. She cost 600, had to get shots, and shits everywhere. Plus, she cries when she's put in her cage to sleep. I would let her sleep out of the cage, but again, she shits everywhere. I'm feeling your pain. Gotta love them though.

Yeah, he's grown a lot on me since I got a crate he'll sleep all night in. It's actually one of those pet carriers... only enough room for him to really sleep in, and I throw in a blanket for him. Funny to watch him nest. He'll sleep till 6-7 in the morning.

I love the howl too... just hate it when I try to sleep
