Swearing in RP's

I cannot remember but where you allowed to swear in your RP's? So like basically if your guy is a pure heel and cocky and just has a bad mouth / temper. I just can't remember if you can. Just need this answered.

As handler of XWA's most vulgar character, I can tell you the same thing I was told back when I joined up, "Do it in moderation". Not every post you need has to have F-Bombs all over the place. Makes the character look less "unstable" and more like a blithering idiot. You don't need expletives all over the place to convey being obscene. Some the the most questionable Punchy moments came without use of a single curse. Your subject matter and content weighs in a lot more then how many "bitches" you can fit in a paragraph. Another thing to take into account is better judgment, and who you're RPing with. Some people are as sensitive as new born babies, and can't handle their characters getting verbally battered with feeling it's a shot at them personally. You have to be mindful of that before you even think about using colorful language at or around such a character/handler. Which is why historically I focus my efforts on the more grittier characters who are prone to curse themselves. Makes my workload easier, and the posts more believable. Because who the hell wants to read a PG-13 Punch post?

Key points: Better judgment. Common sense. Context.

Those are the factors to take into account when opting to use profanity. If it doesn't fit the situation to use it, don't use it. Simple as that.

Yeah, I agree. My RP posts didn't have them... except during my feud with Punch. And maybe a couple other times where Sushi just snapped.
