Controversy (XG3 Spoiler)

Amber could only stand in her corner and watch what was happening before her. Despite that the team of Tiffany and Channelle had neutralized Jenna in their corner, she still had managed to snap off an impressive powerslam on Tiffany that very well could have finished the match...

...had the ref even bothered to count.

REF!!! WHAT'RE YOU DOING!? Make the count already!

She practically shouted across the ring at the lackadaisical referee, but before he even got to one knee, Tiffany had kicked out. It was not missed by the announce team either.

Goldman: Amber's not too happy about that, and I don't blame her...that could have been a three count, partner.

BuZZ: Damn well should have been. What was the ref doing, daydreaming?

Only moments later, Channelle from the apron, from her corner, caught a cheap shot on Jenna that set her up for Tiffany's finisher "The Coat of Arms", and try as she could to save her partner, Amber couldn't make out which came faster, Channelle across the mat to neutralize her or the referee's suddenly crisp and rather quick 3-count to seal the deal. The fans were furious as could be heard from their boos, but Amber was even more as she managed at last to get back into the ring, right at the moment their opponents slid out of the ring. Standing in between them, the ref raised Channelle and Tiffany's arms in victory in the aisle...and there was only one thing ringing in Amber's head at that point.

"Shenanigans".

BuZZ: Did that count seems a little fast to you? I smell a rat...

Goldman: There's definitely something not too "kosher" about the outcome of this match, that's for sure.

She turns to Jenna who had now once again felt the impact of that twisted neckbreaker of Masterson's and kneels over her.

Sweetie, are you okay?

It was in fact the second time that Jenna felt the brunt of "The Coat of Arms", and it didn't feel any different from the first time. This really was not the outcome she had expected to close out the season.

Yeah, I'll be okay...

Amber knelt over her as she favored the back of her neck once again, the very spot the move targeted. She, like Amber did, was not too happy with the "performance" of the referee late in the match.

What I really want to know is why didn't that guy count the pin? I had that British baboon...I know I did!

I know Jenna, I know...

Everyone in the arena had the same feeling as the women in the ring. Of course, nothing could be speculated at that moment, but there was going to be some reckoning down the road, that was certain.

Don't worry. We'll get to the bottom of it.

At that point the PPV had already gone to another segment, to allow everyone in this match the chance to leave in preparation of the next match to go. Amber extended her hand to Jenna in order to help her off of the canvas...

Thanks Amber.

Jenna reached up and grabbed Amber's hand, still surprised to an extent that she was still even in the ring with her. She never took the opportunity to ask Amber why she had any kind of concern for what was going on between her and Channelle...and now subsequently Tiffany. As they exited the ring they were cheered on by the Miami crowd. Even in defeat, it was a good feeling to be appreciated.

They hit the backstage area of the arena now, and that's when Jenna asks the question.

Why are you going out of your way like this for me though? I haven't exactly done much to deserve your help.

A valid point indeed. With the reputation that preceded her, it would've been justifiable to simple let her suffer at that devioud duo's hands...but there was an equally valid reason why Amber didn't let that happen.

It's because I saw a big change in you after you first wrestled Helena Troy. Seeing how you dealt with her, I noticed that something was different about you. All of the sudden you weren't acting like...well...like Channelle always acts, it wasn't all just "me, me, me" anymore.

Those fans out there noticed it too. They're a lot smarter than people take them to be. They can tell when someone's changed their ways for better or worse, and you've really changed for the better. That can only help make your career get even better in the long run, not associating yourself with scumbags like Channelle or even Sylk. It's hard out here on your own though, because in a way everyone has their own best interests in mind above all else. Without people to confide in and trust, you might go stir crazy!

So...I decided to be that person for you, Jenna. If you need anything at all, just call and I'll be there sweetie.

She smiles brightly. There was no deception in Amber's tone. Her body language as well gave off a genuine feeling as well that she meant everything she said.
