Reign of the "Black Pearl"

The entrance theme of Helena Troy fills the arena, and boos follow suit as the new Pearl Champion makes her 1st televised appearance since winning the title at Only The Strong. A typically satirical and unimpressed expression appears on her face as she makes the walk from the stage to the ring. Pausing at the foot of the ring to exchange some choice words with a few front row fans, she continues up the ring steps and into the ring.

Buzz: I've been waiting to hear what she's had to say for over a month. This should be good.

Helena is handed a mic...

I know what's been on all of your minds the last month or so. Everyone in the wrestling world has been asking the same question with regards to myself and how I won this here Pearl Title. If I had some sort of master plan with one Channelle Valencia in screwing over her former associate Jenna Slade. Well, allow me to clear the air a bit. The last thing I needed was the help of Channelle to beat that little girl. In fact, I completely agree with the actions of Channelle. Jenna Slade got a little to over confident in what little, and I do mean "little" ability she has. Parading around like she was the 2nd coming of The Fabulous Moolah. So in that regard, Jenna got just what she deserved, a harsh dose of reality. And the reality is that this business has and always will be survival of the fittest. As the saying goes, keep your friends close and your enemies closer, because you never know when your friend will become you enemy.

Boos continue to rain down as Helena gleefully grins.

Like it or not, I am the XWA Pearl Champion. A title that at one time actually meant something, but within 2009 became just a mantle piece. This belt once had class and prestige to it, but soon became the trophy piece to a bunch of feuding barbie dolls over on Takedown. But those days are done. In my hands I plan on making this belt the definitive women's championship in our sport. Because I plan on not only taking on all comers, but I plan on doing any and everything to retain this title. You're going to see the Pearl Title competed for in matches it's never been. And the woman who actually manages to ever take it off of me will know mentally and physically that she's earned it. Helena gives a look of contempt and displeasure as she was cut off by the entrance theme of another Diamond.

Tony: Uh oh. I think things are about to get VERRRRRRRRY interesting, folks.

To the stage steps none other then Cyn Nister. She speaks into the mic she had in hand.

Now hold the phone there, luv. Let's get something perfectly clear here.

She then makes her way down to the ring, joining Helena inside.

I'm not going to come out here and say there's an asterisk next to your name in the Pearl Title history, as just as you said, Channelle did what she did on her own accord, and on her own account. And I'm certain that she'll get hers in the end as far as Jenna is concerned. But what I am going to make clear is that fact that while you may be Pearl Champion now, you are so very, verrrrrrrrrrrrry far from being the best of the best. In fact, any woman in XWA holding a title can't make that claim, and that's on one thing alone...

...you've yet to beat me.

The crowd roars in a thunderous cheer behind Cyn's words.

Our paths have never crossed Helena. But only someone either ignorant or full of their own hype would not know anything of the path you've beset yourself in wrestling. You, unlike a lot of the female competitors here, have competed across the globe, not just here in North America. You've seen the very, very brutal side of what can happen in that ring. If I'm not correct, you've actually ended a couple careers as well. There's no doubt that you're one of the most dangerous women in the industry. A force not to be trifled with. But I'm every bit as capable as you are, Helena. Every bit as dangerous. And tonight, I think I'm going make the ever important statement. Like MMA Hall Of Famer Matt Hughes has quoted, "you're not a true champion until you defend that championship." So by that logic, your reign hasn't even begun. But we're going to see if in fact it does tonight. Because tonight, I'm challenging you to a match, with Pearl Title on the line.

The crowd shows it's approval in cheer.

Tony: Cyn Nister Vs. Helena Troy!!! That's what I call a match! And this would be the 1st time this two women ever square off.

Matt: With the Pearl Title in the balance no less.

So instead of standing here talking about how you plan on revolutionizing women's wrestling as Pearl Champ, how about you put your money where your mouth is?

After taking a moment to ponder what had just been put on the table, Helena speaks a heady response.

Put my money where my mouth is? Seriously? You come out here and interrupt me when I'm making my 1st formal address as Pearl Champion and that's all you have for me? Let me clue you in on something Cyn. You might be a tough cookie. You might be a skilled competitor. But one thing you will never, and I do mean never be as "dangerous" as me. To even stand there and make such a claim tells me everything I need to know about you. But I'll give you some credit at least, it's been fun watching you beat the stuffing out of Hunter. But I'd hardly say a series of wins against someone who's so far off her game she's trying to put a PS3 disk into a Nintendo Wii is something to be proud of.

The last comment garners an extra special amount of boos from the fans.

I guess I'll humor you some. I could say "you're not worthy enough to challenge me for my title", but then that would make me no better then the Cupie Doll I took it off of. This belt has been a material object for long enough. And as I said, the woman who takes it off of me is going to go through hell on Earth to do so. So I guess we'll see just how much hell you can handle tonight.

Willy: Sounds to me like we got ourselves a match.

Tony: Indeed we do. And between both women, I'd say we're in for one hell of a war.

Lowering her mic, Helena waits for what would follow her acceptance of the challenge.
