[Romeo Davis]

~Las Vegas, Nevada would be the home for Devil’s Night. Since a lot of wrestlers had arrived early, there was most likely time being spent out in the city having a good time. As for Romeo, he had arrived early also, but spent most of his time either at the gym or in his hotel room. For the past couple months he has been training and rehabbing his neck and wrist. He had also been doing a lot of thinking and now was the time where the thoughts became words.~

~Romeo’s theme began playing throughout the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The crowd rose to their feet and began to cheer. This season was almost over but the fans we still excited just as they were since day one. He emerged for backstage and almost immediately taunted for the fans. The atmosphere of the arena began to get louder. This is how Romeo wanted it as he walked down the ramp and entered the ring. A “ROMEO” chant was heard as he received a microphone. He walked to the center of the ring and waited for the fans to settle down before raising the microphone to his lips.~

“A lil’ earlier in the night I know y’all heard Sushi X do a lil’ something that I do to pump up the crowd. I mean it’s cool and everything and I really don’t mind it, but I’m gonna do it anyways since I know y’all know it’s comin.’ WHAT’S GOOD LAS VEGAS, NEVEDA???”

~The crowd erupted at this moment. This place was loud and they were ready for the show to go on. Right here in the MGM arena was the loudest group that Romeo has ever heard.~

“Damn, I gotta admit right here that this is the loudest place I’ve been to so far. Y’all are great. Now onto the business onto why I’m out here tonight. I know y’all wanna see a great show and for damn sure that’s gonna happen. Now, I’ve been thinkin’ for the past couple months ‘bout this one topic. It ain’t like it’s buggin’ me, it’s just that I feel like I need a lil’ change in my life. I bet y’all are tryin’ to figure out what I mean ‘bout that huh? Well I’m gonna tell ya’ what I mean ‘bout that right now. Ya’ see, I need a change from the Takedown side of things. So if y’all haven’t guessed yet, yeah that is right I wanna be on that Overload roster. There are some things goin’ on over on the Overload show that’s got some peeps that I ain’t too fond of. You can all guess who those peeps are too. If ya’ can’t then I can easily help. It’s Primo and Scott O’Dell. But really, why do I still have beef wit’ ‘em even though it was all settled from last year? Well let’s just say things ain’t really over yet. I felt like I did more dealin’ wit’ Godlieve then I did with those two. But it really don’t matter ‘bout that anymore ‘cause he hasn’t shown his face ‘round here this season. So back to business. We got this group the Upper Echelon tryin’ to take over the XWA and well I want in it tryin’ to stop this from happenin.’ From what happened at Only the Strong, there was a triple threat match and a couple other matches that were made by Rodolphe himself which put everyone involved wit’ the Upper Echelon in a match. But, there is always a but, there is one man that doesn’t have a match yet. That man goes by the name of Kaster Troy. So this basically leads me to the end of my “rant” if ya’ want to call it by me challenge Kaster Troy to a match here tonight at the Devil’s Night.”

~Romeo began nodding his head as the crowd began cheering. Romeo really wanted to go back after Primo but he knew that he would have to get through others to get to that point. He wasn’t even sure that Kaster would even accept the challenge that Romeo had placed. He stood in the ring with the microphone down by his side waiting for a response of some kind.~

Seether's "Remedy" plays on the PA, and Kaster Troy steps out from backstage with a grin on his face.

Willy: Now that's a disturbing sight. I don't think I've eva' seen that man smile. So ya' know somethins' gotta be up.

Tony: Davis called out a "wolf", and low and behold...here he comes.

Kaster saunters down to the ring, already dressed for action. He climbs the ring steps and grabs the mic provided for him. He stands just feet away from Davis and responds.

Look what the cat drug in, eh folks? Romeo Davis. Former Pure Champion Romeo Davis. Looking to make the jump from Takedown to Overload. Looking to try and make the proverbial "statement" against Upper Echelon by calling out of all people...me. That's some inspired stuff you had to say there, kid. Really, it was. But this is the part where I break down what you just said for all of the morons and brainwashed idiots to understand. You can stand there and talk about how you want to settle the old score with Primo and Scott all you want. Anyone with at least half a brain...which excludes most of this city's overall population...

Intense boos from the Las Vegas crowd follow.

...knows the real reason why you want to switch up. It's because you're sick of being on the "B" show. Of being one of the "afterthought" talents. It took a bunch of no named rookies to save Takedown from becoming more of a joke then it already was, and now, you're looking to finally step up, and step in the ring with the "big guns". And a majority of those big guns are on the Overload roster. All members...of Upper Echelon. Me. Yang. Primo. Jasta. O'Dell. The Burns Brothers. The most dominant collection of talent pro wrestling has ever seen, and that's saying something seeing as I've been part of two other pretty dominant factions in my career. Many people question why someone like me, a man with over 10 years experience in this business would even bother joining a group like Upper Echelon. Well, those people are also the one's scratching their heads as to why Upper Echelon's amassed the success it has in just 7 months time.

The answer is simple. Any bunch of jokers can join together and form a faction. Most of the time, those factions end up falling apart. XCW anyone? *Heh* They fall apart because it ends up being a bunch of guys and/or girls who all have their own agenda, and are just looking to use the next guy to attain it. Upper Echelon? It exists for one purpose, and one purpose only. For the strong to assume their rightful place at the top of the heap. Whereas you have Stan O'Malley giving free shots and opportunities to guys who should be on Takedown...afterthoughts. The goal of Upper Echelon is as simple as it can possibly get. Survival of the fittest. It's not the size of the army that wins the war, it's the tools and skills that army possesses. And there's no assembly of talent that have or ever will have the weapons that Upper Echelon does. Yet here you stand, willingly at that. Ready to fire your own shot because of pride. *Sigh* Like the old saying goes; "Fools rush in."

Kaster runs his hand across his chin before concluding.

So if there's any statement that's to be made tonight in you taking me on, it's "discretion is the better part of valor." Because your indiscretion is about to cause you a world of hurt.

Kaster then waits for Romeo's response.

OOC: Sorry about the late response. I've been real busy this week.

~Romeo lifts the microphone to his lips and responds to Kaster.~

Well Kaster, I’m not gonna stand here and disagree wit’ ya’ when ya’ said that Takedown show is second rate to the Overload show. But that ain’t the reason why I’m gonna make the jump. Nah, Takedown is full of great superstars that could easily compare to those of Overload. Sure there are elite wrestlers on the Overload show but there are also some on the Takedown roster. There are greats like Syrus the Entertainer, Magnus Von Schwartz, XXL, Robby Sylk, Kris Cade, Jon Payne, Brandon Payne, and many others. I could go on wit’ that list bro. Nah, The reason why I wanna make the jump is ‘cause I’m sick of seein’ the Upper Echelon runnin’ loose over here on Overload. I know there are already people tryin’ to stop y’all and well now more help has arrived. I will not deny that you guys are the most dominant group here in the XWA, but I will say that it’s time y’all are taken down a notch. It’s time to kill that ego that y’all got. It’s time to put an end to Upper Echelon and well that’s gonna start tonight.

~The crowd erupts at the sound of this. They were about ready to see that Upper Echelon is taken down from their position on top of the XWA.~

So say what ya’ want ‘bout me bein’ a fool steppin’ into the ring with ya’ Kaster but that ain’t gonna change the fact that I challenged you to a match and we are gonna have it tonight in this very ring. I probably will end up bein’ in a world hurt but it ain’t gonna stop me from comin’ right back at ya’ bro. We’ll see who has the last laugh tonight after the match.

~Romeo lowers the microphone by his side. He waits for Kaster’s final words before the match was made final.~

Kaster raises his mic and simply says:

We'll see who has the last laugh, eh? *Chuckles* Like the old saying goes, "He who laughs last, laughs best." But let me assure you on one thing, my friend. What you've just walked yourself into...is no laughing matter. Not even in the slightest. I admire a man with guts though. It takes guts to try and be the "hero". You're like...a modern day William Wallace. But William Wallace ended up dieing on the battlefield. He never lived to see the fruition of his revolution. Keep that in mind in your little quest of redemption, my friend.

Kaster then lowers his mic. He takes a few steps back to the ropes, turns, and steps through them. His music begins to play as he heads back up the walkway, heading off to prepare for the up coming battle with Davis.
