Sushi-X's theme "X Gon Give It To Ya" begins to blare over the loudspeakers at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, and the #1 contender for the XWA No Limits title struts to the ring. He's a bit more confident in his stride than usual. Later this evening, he was getting another shot at Bryan Yang for the title he nearly won. The match was still a while away as it had only begun less than a half hour ago. X gets the perhaps his loudest ovation of the season, no doubt coming off the efforts from his last encounter with Yang. The ninja motioned for a microphone and began to speak.
What's good, Vegas!
The crowd cheers for the obligatory cheap pop.
Now, I don't want to toot my own horn, but if you saw the last PPV, Bryan Yang and I put on one of the greatest matches in the history of this company.
A majority of the Las Vegas crowd cheers and applauds. A faint chant of "FIVE STAR MATCH" goes out before the rest of the fans join a few seconds later.
If there was one thing I could change from the match, it was the result. This is a bottom-line business. He won, I lost.
Most of the crowd boos at the mention of Bryan Yang's win at Only the Strong.
But with that loss came opportunity. Because tonight, Bryan Yang... has to fight me. AGAIN.
