As the end of the 2009 draws near, we're already prepping things for season 4. Part of that preparation is filling the rosters for the coming season. There will be a full on split of both male and female characters between both shows, as well as some shake ups regarding 4 of the XWA championships that will be revealed at a later time. But for now as it stands, the Overload roster for 2010 sits at 48 and Takedown sits at 45. That's a grand total of 7 spots open between both shows, 2 of those spots as far as Takedown goes are already reserved for two potential returning characters, so that drops it down to 5. Now there are a number of handlers who stepped away during 2009 for personal reasons, reasons of which we...myself and 3X were informed of. They have a pass, because we know what happened and what made them inactive. (Hence the two potential returns, both of them are people who informed us that they'd be gone for 2009, but possibly be back for 2010.) However, there's an even greater number of people who just fell off the radar. That's where the next bit of info focuses on.
If you have been inactive in XWA for longer then 3 months WITHOUT giving either myself or 3X word (And you know who you are, because WE know who you are) you are no longer considered part of the active roster, because you're not. As such, you were not counted in the returning roster. You spot is N/A, because in disappearing and not letting us know why, you told us you really don't wanna "be" a part of XWA. So as far as the IC aspects of XWA, you're not. Roster space for 2010 is scarce, so we'd rather have the available spots filled with either new handlers, or new characters from existing handlers that will bring new ideas to the fed. Does that mean you're ousted from XWA? No. You can still roleplay the character to your heart's content, just not in the vain of to get into matches. When 2010 registration opens up, you can register for the season, including your caw info. But that doesn't mean you're back in by any means. You need to earn your spot back on the show. Will it be hard since you can't roleplay to get into matches? No. Because there is more to XWA then what goes on in Worldwide. If enough interest is earned by your peers, and/or 3X and I feel you've built enough cred to warrant it, you'll be given a tentative place on roster. Your caw will be created on a separate save, and unlike the rest of the roster will NOT be leveled up or given bonus abilities. As such, you'll fight the rest of the roster at base stats, which means you're not going to get NEARLY as great or long matches the main roster. But that's even if you get to that point, as it's going to take months of consistency for us even to entertain allowing you to compete.
I won't get into a list of names, but as I said before...you know who you are, because we know who you are. So when the season starts and you see you still have your 2009 avatar, you know the reason why. Don't bitch about it, complain or make a scene. Do what needs to be done to earn a spot back on the active roster. You'll know when you've done so when we inform you ourselves. And ONLY when we inform you.
