I can answer this one.
1. No. You can only use CAWS 10 times in story editor, and if XWA used it, everyone would want to be in it. That's way to much work for the admins and simmers when the events during the show can just as easily happen in text like they always have.
2. No once again. Due in part to the fact that downloaded caws can't be edited, it's pretty much impossible to make a template caw for everyone to use. Since staff has to level up all caws to get their applicable abilities on their end, all members need to worry about is creation and submission of their characters, be it via formula for the PS2 and 360 users, or by download for the PS3 users. They'll take care of everything else on their end.

We've decided to only use the element of story editor that allows you to set the damage for the sake of matches that will have predetermined outcomes. That's as far as we'll go with the mode. It's nice and all, but offers little for caws for some odd reason. However, if members who have the PS3 version want to incorporate it into their own roleplays, they're free to do so. But as a whole, only the option of setting damage for scripted matches will be used.
As for formula templates, the same formula template you'd find on caws.ws is fine. So long as we can read it clearly, and you offer pics for any design work your characters may have or VERY descriptive info of layer placement. Failure to do so will result in your characters having no design work at all.
