After careful deliberation on how attributes will be set for all caws, so to have we decided on how abilities in XWA season 4 will be worked out. In keeping with the original idea posted in the previous, yet now obsolete posts regarding attributes and abilities, here is the list of what abilities will be available to XWA characters:
Dirty Pin
Evasive Dodge
Exploder to TB attack
Fan Favorite
Hammer Throw
Hardcore Resurrection
Move Theft
Object Specialist
Outside Dives
Possum Pin
Pull Back Attack
Ref Shield
Ring Escape
Springboard
Strong Strike
Taunt Theft
Resiliency and Fired UP indefinitely VOID in XWA. Xtraordinares will instead be given a higher cap on the Charisma attribute. Lock Pick and Kip Up will still as planned remain exclusive to specific character types.
Lock Pick is ONLY available to characters that have a SS move as a finisher. As of 2009, these are the characters who do:
Scott O'Dell
Ashley Diamond
Magnus Von Schwartz
Hayley Jonas
Jon Payne
Johnny Aces
Kastor Troy
Osh Vaughn
Kim Hunter
Alundra Jade
Helena Troy
SHW wrestlers who chooses to use it
If your character has not used a Submission finisher in previous seasons, don't think you're going to get away with all of a sudden switching up just to gain access to this ability. Unless your character makes some form of IC change facilitating the sudden switch, you will not be getting this ability, even if you submit your caw via CC.
Kip Up will also, as stated in the previous threads, be exclusive to the "Showman" of XWA:
Syrus The Entertainer
Jimmy Ames
Robby Sylk
Jonny Punch
Genesis
Romeo Davis
Scott Epic
Tommy Tryton
A.Cee Imfamous
Finesse
Milo Miller
Dan Ripley
Lionel Xander
Amber Gianni
Vesper Gold
Holly Woodz
Channelle
Jenna Slade
For the rest of the roster, no dice on Kip Up. We initially had planned to have Kip Up be an "earned" ability, but in all truth, not everyone needs Kip Up. Not everyone should even think of having Kip Up. If your character doesn't fit showman mold, you shouldn't even be thinking of Kip Up. Only, and I do mean ONLY when a handler has shown the IC capacity needed to be considered a Showman, will they be considered to gain the ability. The catch? If your character already has 6 abilities, you have to sacrifice one for Kip Up, or you can decline on Kip Up and keep your abilities as they are.
In the 2010 Sig/Finisher section, just like 2010, you will be asked to list your desired abilities. We will apply said abilities to each caw as we level them up during the off-season.
