Clash of the titans (Drazen)

[Kayn]

*After a few matches at Only the Strong "Hammer Smashed Face" began playing in the Livorno Palaalgida bringing the fans to their feet as Kayn walked out from behind the curtain. He stood on the stage for a few moments pointing out to some of the fans before heading towards the ring.*

Matt: "Here's comes Kayn guys and you've got to believe that after that match with Drazen Petrovovic on Takedown, the 'Death Metal Goliath' has got some things on his mind."

Buzz: "I'm sure the only thing on his mind is the excuses for the beating he took at the hands of the 'Russian Beast'."

Antonio: "Come on Buzz, Kayn went out there and started the match strong."

Willy: "But he couldn't seal the deal. Face it, he was out matched, out wrestled and out classed by Drazen."

*Kayn had just climbed the ring steps and entered the ring. He walked over to the far side turnbuckle, climbed up it and pointed out to the crowd, which they in turn responded with cheers. While standing on the turnbuckle, Kayn looked down to the ring announcer and asked for a mic, then he climbed down the turnbuckle and reached out to take the mic. As his music faded Kayn stood center ring with the crowd still cheering for him. As he was about to bring the mic to his mouth, the crowd chanted his name which made Kayn pause for a moment and smile, Kayn then began to speak.*

"Tuscona Italy, thank you for that warm reception. Since we've started this little tour in Europe, you've all witnessed that I have been involved in a few matches with one Drazen Petrovovic."

*The crowd boos at the mention of Drazen's name. Kayn paused for a few seconds then continued.*

"Now I'll be the first to give my opponents props when they deserve them and I'll tell you something folks, Drazen is as tough as they come. He's got the size, the power and the chip on his shoulder to go far in this company. However there's one thing that he has right now which is more important than any of those things and that is my attention. During our first encounter, I gave him the competitiveness he craved, during our second encounter he gave me a damn good match that he came out on top in. So Drazen, I know you're in the back. I'm willing to bet that you're not dome with this, and I damn sure am not finished with you, so why don't you come on out here and let's have ourselves another go around."

*With that Kayn lowered his mic and waited in the center of the ring for Drazen Petrovovic to appear.*

Matt: "Wow, Kayn calling out Drazen."

Buzz: "This guy is out of his mind, he should quit while he's ahead and hopefully not end up in the hospital again."

*It wouldn't take long for Kayn to get a response as Drazen's music began to play over the PA system.*

[drazen]

As the stoic Russian grappler enters the arena, the commentators speak in reference to him.

Matt: Here comes one of the baddest men on the planet. A certified war machine. Probably the most decorated pure fighter in XWA history. 10 years in Spetznaz, 7 time Russian Military Sambo champion, 4 time World Sambo champion...this man is more then a wrestler, he's a warrior.

Tony: I've always wondered about the scars on his body. I can imagine those are from his time in Spetznaz, but what kind of hell must this man have seen to get them?

Willy: Makes ya' wanna think twice about steppin' up to him. You could hit him with a brick and he'd probably scream on you for not tryin' hard enough.

Drazen joins Kayn inside the ring. He calls for a mic of his own and responds to the challenge.

You are a man of strong will and integrity, Kayn. Commendable traits to have, and very rare for the nature of this industry. But I am not a man of this industry. I came here to America, and to XWA in search of a new challenge. To see if this Professional Wrestling could indeed stand up to my Sambo. You've done well to do so, Kayn. But the feeling out period has officially ended. I was trained to show no mercy. To show no sympathy in defeating my opponent. Victory at any and all costs. You will is to strong to be broken. I know this. But like any man, where you will can't be broken, your body can. Your bones can. Tonight, when all is said and done, and you lay your head down to sleep, and you bones ache from head to toe. You'll know what the price of victory is. And you'll know that in order to gain that ultimate victory, the pain that I put you through in this ring must be overcome...if you ever think to beat me when the gloves come off. To weeks ago was the test. Last week was the preamble. Tonight, comes the true fight. And I intend to fight as if it were my last.

Buzz: Under normal circumstances, I'd pick Kayn Kayn to kick anyone's ass. But this guy Petrovovic is a scary dude. I mean, he's probably done stuff to people that would make Pinhead blush. You can never question Kayn's bravery, but barkin' up this guys tree might prove bad for one's physical well being.

[Kayn]

*Kayn stood and listened to Drazen, and never one to be intimidated Kayn stood almost expressionless. Once Drazen finished Kayn brought the mic to his mouth again.*

"I can tell you with no doubt in my mind that our match tonight will be physically taxing on both of us, because you're right. The breaking in period is done, we've felt each other out and from here forward there won't be anymore kid punches, no more taking it easy, no more testing the waters. Here on out it's going to be two men... no, two compteitors that while have different reasons for wanting victory still have the same hunger for it. So break my body if you can because that's the only way I'm not walking out of this ring tonight with my hand raised in victory."

*The crowd exploded as Kayn lowered his mic giving Drazen a chance to respond.*

[drazen]

The stoic Russian answers with a simple, yet firm response.

Then we shall let our abilities in combat determine who victory shall smile upon tonight.

He lowers his mic. All he needed to say had been said in that one statement. He waits for Kayn's final reply.

[Kayn]

*Kayn looked at Drazen and just simply nodded, there was nothing left for him to say. The two men knew what was going to happen in the ring later that evening, the only question was who would walk out the winner. Kayn headed out of the ring and started up the ramp to the backstage area with no accompanying music.*

Buzz: "See, he's so intimiated by Drazen he's speechless. I know who I'll be betting on to win here tonight."

Tony: "Easy Buzz, sometimes the most important statements are ones that aren't spoken."

Buzz: "What fortune cookie did you get that little tidbit of information from Tony?"

Matt: "Come on Buzz, do you truly think Kayn is intimidated?"

Buzz: "Have you ever known him to not try and get the final word in? No, never. Drazen's got to him."

Matt: "In any case folks, that match will be happening later tonight."

*Kayn reached the stage and before heading back behind the curtain he turned back down to the ring and took one last look at his opponent for the evening before walking backstage.*
